The Brew: The ‘Best Communicator in the White House’ Calls Maryland’s Black Governor ‘Boy’

Boy, I wish that were a headline from the Babylon Bee!

"I will not call Black adult men 'boy.' I will not call Black adult men 'boy.' I will not call ... "

Happy Thursday!

Be careful with the hot Brew. This first headline may cause a spit take.

Press Secretary: Biden is the ‘Best Communicator We Have in the White House’

On Tuesday, Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre gave comedy writers and conservative pundits a glorious Valentine. She described Joe Biden — JOE BIDEN — as the “best communicator we have in the White House.”

Uh, not even if the building is evacuated and he’s the only one left in it. You’d still have the First Dog Commander and the ghost of Lincoln.

Biden’s ability to speak coherently is shot. Obviously. His sign language interpreters get hazard pay. It’d be like saying FDR was the best in the White House at the Charleston. Or Trump is the sweetest, most gentle of souls. You’d just sound not only like an idiot, but you’d be taking us for fools.

Statements like Joe Biden is the “best communicator we have in the White House” simply add to the mountainous pile of evidence that says we can take nothing said by this White House seriously. Which is dangerous when we have very serious situations piling up by the day.

Which gets to the real problem with Biden. It’s not his dementia-laden inability to complete a thought. He really doesn’t care to communicate with the American people. Oh, he’ll rant. Demagogue. Tell personal stories that tend to be fables. Sure. But communicate? No.

We’re blasting objects out of the sky as if we were at a skeet shoot. And he’s not talking about it.

One was a huge spy balloon from our most dangerous enemy. And he’s not talking about it.

We have a potentially cataclysmic environmental disaster unfolding in Ohio that could kill thousands. And he’s not talking about it.

We’ve got classified documents (concerning countries that his son did illicit business in) popping up all over the place … just months after Biden raids the home of his political rival over classified documents. And he won’t talk about it.

We should have known going in. Remember during the campaign when he said voters didn’t deserve to know his position on packing the court? Remember how prickly he gets when asked questions he doesn’t like, even when asked by voters? Behind it all is, “Who are you to ask me? Who are you to question me?”

The dirty little secret is Joe Biden has an arrogance and dismissiveness toward the American people … a disrespect … unmatched by any American president in memory.

So, as Joe Biden refuses to address us about what’s going on in the skies, or in Ohio, or in his classified document scandal — in one sense, Jean-Pierre is right. The Big Guy is the best communicator in the White House. Communicating his contempt.

Yeah, Americans deserve better. But right now, we deserve answers.

Meanwhile, the Best Communicator In The White House had another head-scratcher Wednesday.

Presumably he’s talking about his son Beau’s cancer battle. Not any cancer battle of his own. And he was just getting started.

Biden Calls Maryland’s First Black Governor ‘Boy’

Yup. Joe Biden has scored another smash hit in his catalogue of racially insensitive comments. On Wednesday, Biden called the Black governor of Maryland “boy.” Yes. Boy.

Biden was at an event for IBEW union workers along with Maryland’s new governor Wes Moore. Moore is the state’s first Black governor. Biden gave Moore a shout out, declaring, “You got a h*** of a new governor in Wes Moore, I tell ya,” Biden said, “He’s the real deal, and the boy looked like he could still play. He got some guns on him.”

Fox News did include the caveat that Biden occasionally refers to younger white guys as “boy.” But c’mon. You’re appearing with the state’s newly sworn-in first Black governor on a national stage … and you’re calling him “boy”?! And talking about his physique as if you’re about to auction Moore to Leo DeCaprio in Django Unchained?

Oh, I can’t wait to see how the ladies of The View spin this one.

Update on James O’Keefe and Project Veritas

Last week, we reported that the Project Veritas board of directors was possibly set to push founder James O’Keefe out the door. The outcry was deafening. O’Keefe is Project Veritas. Dump him and PV is DOA.

On Wednesday, Executive Director Daniel R. Strack, on behalf of the board, released a statement. Read it carefully. Do you feel assured O’Keefe isn’t going anywhere and was never going anywhere? Or has there been a retreat, at least for the moment? “James has not been removed.” The word was the board was planning to remove him.

“Nowhere in the letter (from disgruntled employees) was there ever a suggestion to remove James from the organization.” Again, the focus was on what the board was going to do. Not what the employees might have wanted.

Seems Strack is being cute. If the story were patently false, wouldn’t the response Wednesday have been “There was never been any consideration or discussion of removing James from the organization”? This does not feel over.

Another Sex Scandal at CNN

Jake Tapper’s executive producer Federico Quadrani was fired last month for having an affair with a subordinate. This is just the latest in a string of sex scandals to hit the struggling network. Think Jeffrey Toobin, harassment claims against Chris Cuomo, the harassment claim against Don Lemon, child sex charges against producer John Griffen. Heck, former CNN boss Jeff Zucker was done in by his affair with his right-hand woman.

Note to CNN: Perhaps you should concentrate on chasing the truth rather than chasing the booty.

The Stream on the Asbury Move of God

So 24/7 prayer and worship continues at the chapel of Asbury University, with what many are calling a bona fide revival. Certainly people are reporting an undeniable presence of God. The Stream has two features up this morning about Asbury.

The first is an in-depth report from our Aliya Kuykendall on what is happening, with video and witness accounts. Her “Asbury Revival: God is Moving at Asbury University; Stirring ‘Hunger’ for God” will be continually updated as the days go on.

Our Tom Gilson has some sage advice for us and those taking part in Asbury. “Is the Asbury Revival Real? And Why That’s Not the Most Important Question to Ask About It.”
