The Brew: Biden Declares ‘Transgender Americans Shape Our Nation’s Soul’

And there was some other legal news last night, but it's slipping my mind.

By Al Perrotta Published on March 31, 2023

So much action on the transgender front Thursday, we had to give it its own Brew.

But first, huge news from the legal world: Actress Gwyneth Paltrow won her legal case against that fellow skier yesterday. Then there’s that other legal news story in the news.

Trump Indicted

Former President Donald Trump was indicted Thursday night for the crime of being Donald Trump. It is the first time in U.S. history a president or former president has been indicted. It’s certainly the first time in our country’s history the party in power has tried throwing the leading opposition candidate into prison, let alone on trumped up charges that even liberal pundits scorn.

Last night, we noticed that this figurative political assassination attempt on Donald Trump came 42 years to the day after the attempt on Ronald Reagan. In my article, I argue the bullet lodged near the heart of democracy last night could prove more deadly than the one that nearly killed Reagan. Please read and share!

We also did a more newsy round-up of reaction and what’s to come called: “Trump Indicted … Get Ready for Next Week’s Easter Parade.”

Obviously, there will be more on the indictment to come.

Why April Fools is Ruined

Here I am, all set to write some April Fools news stories, and then I see this:

Three Days After Covenant School Massacre, Biden Releases β€œTransgender Day of Visibility” Proclamation, Declaring “Transgender Americans Shape Our Nation’s Soul”

Joe Biden released a flowing, glowing celebration of transgender ideology and defense of sex-changes for children Thursday. The occasion? The β€œTransgender Day of Visibility.”

I wondered how administration figures would celebrate their Transgender Day of Visibility. Lifting women’s luggage from airports? Sorry. That’d be Sam Brinton’s β€œGender Fluid Day of Visibility in Airport Security Cameras.”

Seriously, Biden’s proclamation is worth a read … if only to ask, β€œHave you ever seen a statement from Biden that forceful and eloquent about America or faith?”

I mean, he actually proclaims β€œTransgender Americans shape our Nation’s soul.” Shape it into what?

You’ll also notice Biden ignored the planned β€œTransgender Day of Vengeance” planned for D.C. (And, of course, the Nashville shooting.)

The poster for this Day of Vengeance, before being taken down by Twitter, says “wear a mask, bring a buddy.”

So … why do they want people to β€œwear a mask” when this is event is in conjunction with the β€œTransgender Day of Visibility”?

UPDATE: Late Thursday evening, word broke that organizers have called off their Transgender Day of Vengeance, citing “credible threat to life and safety.”

Kentucky, West Virginia Enact Bans on Sex-Changes for Children

Kentucky’s legislature voted Wednesday to override the Democratic governor’s veto of a bill that would ban sex-change surgeries and treatments for children.

Next door in West Virginia, Gov. Jim Justice signed a law banning surgeries, cross-sex hormones and puberty blockers for minors. Hormones and puberty blockers can be prescribed for those who are genuinely diagnosed with severe gender dysphoria and have parental approval.

At least 11 states have now acted to protect children from the ghouls, groomers, medical quacks and profiteers.

School Reviewing Policies After Drag Queen Caught on Video Straddling Young Student

A North Carolina public school says it’s looking at ways to β€œrevise campus policies” after video of a drag queen straddling a young student went viral. Kids as young as 14 taking part in a program for high schoolers at Forsyth Technical Community College were invited to the school’s LGBTQ Pride Festival. Promotional material mentioned a drag performance. However, according to Fox News, parents of the underage students were not notified of the nature of the event. A source told Fox Digital that students were emailed there’d be free pizza at the event. Nothing about drag performances.

On Tuesday, Libs of TikTok posted a video showing adults having a grand time as a drag queen appears to give a kid a lap dance.

Funny how they don’t seem to care about social distancing when it comes to drag queens and children.

Speaking of Libs of TikTok: Founder Chaya Raichik ran into AOC while trying to serve an ethics complaint against the congresswoman for lying about her. During a hearing, AOC had accused Raichik of lying about Boston Hospital doing sex change surgeries on minors, despite Raichik having posted video of Boston Hospital officials boasting of doing that very thing.

AOC didn’t recognize Raichik until after they’d cozied up for a picture. When AOC found out who she was, AOC called her a β€œsuper transphobe” and stormed off like a petulant Mean Girl.

Off topic, but has anyone noticed Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has gotten a lot more angry and cranky and touchy in recent months? Disagree with her all day long, but she used to be at least entertaining.

Wokeness is upstream from grumpiness.
