The Brew: If You’re Not Paranoid, You’re Not Paying Attention
“Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.” How about “Fool me dozens of times recently, get caught in your lies, then fool me again immediately … and I’ll believe you. Because I insist on being a gullible idiot, since it takes less work than thinking.” That seems to be the maxim active today among too many Americans. These same media intentionally, consciously, culpably and maliciously lied and suppressed the truth about:
- The 2016 election
- Russia “collusion”
- Brett Kavanaugh and Mark Judge
- Kyle Rittenhouse
- Nick Sandmann
- Cloth masks
- Vaccination dangers
- The threat of COVID to children
- The Hunter Biden laptop
- The 2020 election, and …
- The January 6 protestors
Plus a thousand other things they haven’t even been caught red-handed for. It might be the Day of Judgment before these journalists have to answer for all their lies. (That’s something to look forward to, at least.)
Listen to the Dissidents
No, we can do better than Charlie Brown and stop believing Lucy when she promises that this time she’ll let us kick the football. Because, let’s face it — at this point, Charlie Brown deserves it. If we act like him, so do we.
Let’s stop patronizing the liars. Stop consuming Mainstream Media news altogether — which, apart from Tucker Carlson, includes Fox News (whose board chairman is, remember, Paul “Open Borders” Ryan). Instead, look to the margins, to the corners of the Internet that Big Brother hasn’t managed to quite silence yet. Let me share with you some key stories from the sources that do appear trustworthy. These places kept telling the truth about crucial stories when it cost them — got them banned by Facebook and YouTube, put on government watch lists, accused of “killing people” with “medical misinformation.”
We need to support the dissidents and lock out the Deep State’s stooges. Our Stasi media is no more trustworthy on any subject at all than the Polish state media were under Communism. As I told a radio host yesterday: “If NBC reported that the sky is blue, I would go outside and check.”
Some Truthtellers You Should Be Following
Follow LifeSiteNews.com, which has led in coverage of the war against unborn children and family life for a decade. It got banned from YouTube and social media for reporting on (among other things) the use of aborted babies to make and test the COVID vaccines. Here LifeSite interviews pro-life hero Lauren Handy. She faces decades in prison for conducting a rescue at a D.C. abortion clinic, and seizing evidence there of illegal, third-trimester abortions.
Read Revolver News every day. That’s the site which uncovered how the FBI cooked up and planned the supposed kidnapping of Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, recruiting aimless yahoos whom it could prosecute for the plot. In its latest, Revolver warns the intrepid Elon Musk of the punishment our Oligarchy has in store for him if he really tries to restore free speech at Twitter.
Don’t miss a single day of American Greatness, the news and commentary site that has replaced the deboned, NeverTrump National Review as the conservative organ of record. Right now it’s running an important column by Julie Kelly on how the Department of Justice is covering for Hunter Biden, while trying to prosecute Donald Trump. Plus an alarming, persuasive report suggesting that the Omicron Variant of the China Virus originated in a lab … and may have been unleashed on the world on purpose.
Click over to The American Mind to read Spencer Klavan’s alarming column, where he asks, essentially, ‘Who needs Q-Anon when Disney is grooming our kids for sexual abuse?’
Steve Bannon, War Room
Looking for great video commentary? Look no further than Steve Bannon’s daily reports at War Room. In a recent episode, he gathers truthtellers to report on the “war on the American family.” Each day, Bannon offers three solid hours of eye-opening news and principled commentary.
Of course, you should follow the Eric Metaxas Show — and not just because he has me on every week. He does that out of solidarity for an old friend. But the rest of his guests are incisive, highly-credentialed, and spiritually savvy commentators. Recent guests have included Mel Gibson, Andrew Klavan and Victor Davis Hanson.
On the Other Side
If you’re a fan of irony, wander on over to a piece at MSM-windbag magazine The Atlantic, whose author is shocked, shocked to discover that leftists can be authoritarians too. Because apparently nobody ever taught Sally Patel about folks like Lenin, Stalin, Pol Pot, Mao or Jim Jones. To be clear, Patel is reporting that even on the Marxist-created “Authoritarian Personality” scale invented by Communists in the 50s, American media liberals show up as secret fans of jackboots and concentration camps.
As if we didn’t already realize that.
Along The Stream
Speaking of fake news, Tom Gilson wrote this excellent piece about the difficulty Americans have in seeing the whole reality of the Russia-Ukraine debacle and the temptation to view so many things in purely black-and-white terms.
Pastor Ron Hale looks at the absurd and shameful media attacks against Ginni Thomas in his article: “Who Should Clarence Thomas Slap?”
John Zmirak is a senior editor at The Stream and author or co-author of ten books, including The Politically Incorrect Guide to Immigration and The Politically Incorrect Guide to Catholicism. He is co-author with Jason Jones of “God, Guns, & the Government.”
