We Won’t Force You to Believe

If you want to be gay, then be gay! If you want to marry someone of the same sex, then that is your right. If you choose to identify as lesbian, bi-sexual, non-binary or even a cow, that is your prerogative and your right to do so.

Your Right to Choose

As Americans, we believe in everyone’s right to freedom of speech and expression of who they are. We live in a world that should give everyone a right to be who they want to be, regardless of what others feel about it. It is your right to do what you want to do. The Christian community may not agree with the lifestyles of the LGBTQ community, but we certainly respect your right to live the life you choose. We won’t force you to believe. We share our beliefs, but there is no push to believe what we believe. The Gospel is a free gift and if you reject it, we cannot force you to take the gift. Yes, we will share it because we have a strong belief in the power of the Gospel to change lives, but as a general rule, we will not force our beliefs on the gay community.

Should We Remain Silent?

On the other hand, why does the gay community believe it is acceptable to push their sexuality and lustful ways into our homes through all types of media and expect us to remain silent? Why are they shoving books and curriculums into our schools to try to pervert our children with sexual content that their minds are not prepared to handle? When did dressing in drag become something to teach to our toddlers and elementary school children?

Freedom of Religion Afforded to Us

Christians have the freedom to worship and serve God. We have a right to stand up for the things we believe God wants for our lives and to stand against those things which we believe are against God’s will. That is the freedom of religion afforded to every person in the Constitution.

You Don’t Have to Receive the Truth

We believe the Bible teaches that marriage is God-ordained between one man and one woman. We stand on that belief and refuse to align what we do and how we live with any other teaching. Again, this is our faith in a holy God that created a man for a woman and a woman for a man. We have strong convictions in what we believe and are willing to share our faith because we believe in the life-changing Gospel of Jesus Christ. However, if you don’t want to hear it, we move on. We will share it with someone else that does want to hear it. The Gospel is a gift. You either receive it or you don’t.

What is Really Going On

It is not the church that forces their way onto others. It is the gay community that feels we should back down on what we believe and accept their way of life. They have decided that our faith and walk with God must include our agreement with homosexuality. They want our freedom to worship stripped unless we change God’s law to align with their perversions. They want us to compromise our walk with Christ to allow pastors to perform same-sex weddings. They want us to not share the Gospel or the power of the Gospel to transform lives if we are going to tell them that they can’t be gay. Essentially, they want God to change. Not going to happen!

Of course, we understand that there is another group of people who are living this lifestyle but are not actively pushing it on others. Some of these same people have spent years fighting same-sex attraction but have given in to the struggle. We, the Church, must show compassion to those who are experiencing this.

A Deceitful Ideology

Church of the living God, we must get back to seriously praying and seeking God. We may not have been going after them, but they are absolutely coming after us to keep those who need the Gospel from the Gospel. The enemy is totally against the transforming power of Christ to turn someone from a life of homosexuality to a spirit-filled believer. The enemy clouds their thinking into believing that homosexuality is just another form of love; and if God is love, what could be wrong with it? It’s a deceitful ideology that is destroying a nation.

Speak Out, Church!

We must speak up. We must flood our government with protests and petitions against allowing them to push their agenda into our churches, our homes, and schools. We have rights just like they do. Our voice must be one voice against sin and evil. The power is in us to turn this around, but we must walk as one and walk by faith in God.

Stand up people of God and speak out!
