Resolute: Nikki Hits SNL, Pix Spook the Biden Camp and a Trump Hater Puts a Vote for Trump ‘On the Table’ Over NYPD Incident

By Al Perrotta Published on February 5, 2024

Nikki does SNL, a Trump enemy considers a 180 after an outrageous incident in New York, and the Biden camp’s concerned about damaging photos emerging this week. We’re 274 days out from Election 2024, and we are Resolute.

Biden Campaign Worried About Damaging Photos in Special Counsel Robert Hur’s Classified Doc Investigation

The special counsel investigating Joe Biden’s handling of classified documents from when he was Senator and VP is expected to issue a report in the near future, perhaps as early as this week. According to Axios, the report from Robert Hur has the Biden camp on edge. Not because they expect any criminal charges, because that would imply there’s some semblance of equal justice left in the country. (Besides, Robert Hur is the guy you hire to get high-ranking white collar types out of trouble.)

No, they’re worried photos in the report could prove very damaging. Particularly photos showing just how carelessly Biden had classified information laying around. By now Biden stashing the nation’s secrets next to his prized Corvette open for all the world (and Hunter’s friends) to see is the stuff of legend. What other creative ways did Biden find to store our secrets? Underneath his beloved chocolate chip ice cream?

You have to be curious why Biden people are trying to get ahead of the report by leaking their concern. Is it to defuse … or deflect? Will the pix be the real problem or are the Axios sources in the Biden camp trying to divert from the nature of the information Biden took and stashed? For example, did he purloin anything connected to countries Biden Inc. were wheeling and dealing in? We will see.

In any event, the Trump campaign will be loudly wondering why Biden gets to skate after treating classified information like beer bottles at a frat party, while Trump faces criminal prosecution for having documents he arguably had every right to have.

Nikki Haley Cameos on Saturday Night Live With “Trump”

Nikki Haley … the real Nikki Haley … made a cameo during Saturday Night Live’s cold opening, showing up at CNN Town Hall with James Austin Johnson’s “Donald Trump.”

The sketch gave Haley a chance to dig at Trump for not debating her and take a shot at Trump’s age — a shot she repeated in a tweet after the show. “’I see dead people.’ That’s exactly what voters will think if this race is between Trump and Biden in the fall.” Wanna talk about “mean tweets”?

Jack Posobiec wonders “Why does Nikki keep referring to Trump and death?” It’s one thing to make a joke on a comedy sketch show. It’s quite another to put it on your official X account in the campaign.

And suggesting 11:30 is past Trump’s bedtime when he’s notorious for getting very little sleep and referencing mental competency? In other words, using the criticisms about Biden against Trump? What party is she trying to represent? Who’s she helping? Besides, if Trump’s big fault is personal attacks that turn off swing voters, why would Haley think low personal attacks will help her campaign? Nasty is a bad look.

SNL did smack Haley for ignoring slavery as a cause of the Civil War during a campaign Q&A. “Yes, I should have mentioned that the first time,” she said, before belting the iconic “Live from New York, it’s Saturday Night!”

Johnson does a great Trump, so the show doesn’t need Trump. But will SNL have the guts to have the real Trump on again? He has actually hosted the show twice, in 2004 and 2015.

Presidential candidates popping up on comedy shows isn’t anything new, of course. It goes back to then-candidate Richard Nixon’s awkward appearance on the 1960’s sketch show Rowan and Martin’s Laugh In.

Nixon went on to win the election. Bill Clinton certainly scored when he showed up blowing a sax on Arsenio Hall. Will Haley’s appearance help her? Or hurt?

Haley Has New Goal for South Carolina Primary: “Closing the Gap.”

Haley is pushing forward with a strategy of insisting that losing is winning. She said the other day her goal in the South Carolina is now “closing the gap” with Trump in her home state. FiveThirtyEight polling has Trump at 64% and Haley at just under 32% as of Sunday.

“Success means being competitive. Closing the gap,” she told Fox News Digital last week. “Making sure we can continue to go forward as we go into Super Tuesday.”

Good for Nikki. She’s aiming to have the longest winning streak in political history… without actually winning.

NY Cop Assault Has Blue Actor Seeing Red

Leftist actor Michael Rappaport hates Donald Trump. He makes Kathy Griffin look like a MAGA fan girl. He’s probably got an orange haired voodoo doll he’s been poking with needles since 2015. Michael Rappaport hates Donald Trump.

Rappaport just declared voting for Donald Trump is “on the table.” Why?

Those cop-assaulting illegals, that’s why. He took to X Friday furious about the incident. We’re not linking because it deserves more bleeps than a heart monitor.

“Let me tell you something, what the **** is the world coming to if you could be from another country, beat up a cop in New York City and walk out with no ******* bail? What the **** is the world coming to?”

That is how politically devastating the story is of those illegal immigrants beating and kicking NYPD cops, immediately walking free with no bail, smuggly flipping off America while strutting the New York streets like they’re John Travolta, before heading to California for all the free goodies the Golden State provides illegals: Biden’s lost Michael Rappaport.

As sure as Michael Dukakis riding a tank, that viral image of that illegal flipping the bird is going be an indelible image in 2024 campaign.

Catching Up on the Trump Trials

Lots of action in the assorted Donald Trump cases.

The Georgia Romance

Fulton County D.A. Fani Willis admitted in court filings she’s in a romantic relationship with the man she hired as special prosecutor for the Trump case. However, she insists the relationship has not tainted the case against Trump and his co-defendants and she should not be removed or the cases dropped.

The judge in the case is holding a hearing on the matter February 15.

The DC Disappearance

Special Prosecutor Jack Smith’s dream of a March trial starting the day before Super Tuesday has been dealt a fatal blow. His election interference case against the former president has been removed from the docket.

The delay has been ordered while the courts sort out Donald Trump’s claims of immunity. Trump’s lawyers argue a president or former president cannot be charged for actions stemming from his official duties or else there’d be chaos, with the presidency crippled. They say Trump was acting in his official capacity when he fought to ensure the 2020 election was on the up-and-up.

A New York Acceleration, a New York Delay

Alvin Bragg’s criminal case against Trump for paying Stormy Daniels may now be pushed to the front burner. He’d been deferring to the Smith case in terms of scheduling a trial date. With the J6 case off the docket, Bragg’s expected to step up. Perhaps Bragg should be more concerned about illegal immigrants getting away with brutally beating NYPD officers than a case legal experts say is an incomprehensible stretch. But that’s just us.

Meanwhile, the judge in the case concocted to wreck Trump’s business empire was supposed to announce last week just how much damage he was going to inflict. New York Attorney General Letitia James wants $350 million and Trump totally stripped of his license to do business in the Big Apple. Because of fraud. Where nobody was defrauded.

However, Justice Arthur Engeron’s announcement has been pushed off until as late mid-February. Or, if you prefer, closer to the South Carolina primary.

As for the E. Jean Carroll case, Mark Judge dropped a beaut this weekend. “E Jean Carroll, Shopping for the Stasi, Mocks Real Victims of Rape.”
