Miss USA Contestant Completely Bombs Political Correctness Question

By Published on July 14, 2015

Miss USA contestants aren’t particularly known for their eloquent answers to serious questions, but it appears Miss Rhode Island has absolutely no idea what political correctness is.

Anea Garcia was competing for the Miss USA crown Sunday night when she was tossed a fairly softball question about political correctness in America and she gave a head-scratcher of an answer.

Watch Here:

Tara Conner, Miss USA 2006, asked Garcia, “Recently, comedian Jerry Seinfeld spoke out against political correctness in our culture. Do you think political correctness is helping or hurting this country? And why?”

“That’s a very good question,” Garcia responds as you can almost see her brain at work, “Okay… Think. Think. Political correctness, political, politician…”

Then she answers,”I think that it’s a balance of both. We definitely need…” she said before stumbling. “I’m sorry. Will you please repeat the question once more?”

Conner then repeats the question while Garcia mentally regroups and prepares to attack the question again.

“I think it’s a balance of both,” she said again, almost like she rehearsed it. “We need the people to remind us, especially the politicians, to remind us what to do right and what to do wrong and it’s never…”

And almost like clockwork, the buzzer rang and Garcia’s time was up before she could complete her rambling, nonsensical answer.

She smiled politely and quickly scooted off stage.
