U.S. Marines and U.S. Navy sailors salute during a 9/11 anniversary wreath-laying ceremony at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina on September 9, 2022.

We will never forget the 2,996 lives lost 22 years ago today at the World Trade Center, Pentagon, and the Pennsylvania field where United Flight 93 crashed. We will also keep praying for the victims’ families, as well as all who have suffered injuries, illnesses and trauma due to the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

“Tonight, I ask for your prayers for all those who grieve, for the children whose worlds have been shattered, for all whose sense of safety and security has been threatened. And I pray they will be comforted by a power greater than any of us, spoken through the ages in Psalm 23: ‘Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me.'” ~President George W. Bush on 9/11.
