On June 30, 1975 Cher married musician Gregg Allman. Nine days later she filed to have the marriage dissolved.

Joe Biden wishes he got that long of a honeymoon. 

A new Gallup poll shows that fully 88% of Americans are dissatisfied with the direction of the country. Only 11% of Americans are happy with the nation’s direction.

And this is before news of his mad rash of Executive Orders and their impact on everyday lives has been completely absorbed.

More Executive Orders drop by the day. As Cher sang with first husband Sonny Bono, “And the beat goes on.”

The beat down of Americans, that is.

Can someone explain to me how in nine days someone who the media insists legitimately got 80 million votes now has nearly 90% of the country rejecting the direction he is going?

Are we looking at buyer’s remorse? Since Congress seems so hell-bent on changing – and ignoring – the Constitution, should we join the fun and adjust the Constitution to include a “lemon law”? An administration that proves to be a sour lemon can be returned within 30 days, no questions asked.

China Virus

Let’s look at just a couple of the actions that are more poop-poop than “Shoop Shoop.” (What, you were expecting a reference to “Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves”?)

Of all the problems facing everyday Americans, let alone people around the world, why did Joe Biden sign an executive order prohibiting use of the phrase “China Virus” within the government? I mean, aside from accommodating the folks who put millions into his family coffers.

Wouldn’t some email from an NIH bureaucrat have done the trick of ensuring a consistent nomenclature? Dr. Fauci is the highest paid person in the government. Certainly with the scratch we’re paying him he could spare five minutes from his media appearances to knock out a memo. 

More importantly, why is Biden jerking around with the First Amendment? No doubt Biden’s Big Tech partners in crime will use the EO as an excuse to harass and block anyone who dares use the phrase “China Virus” or “Wuhan Virus.”  Past is prologue. Obama banned phrases like “radical Islam” and “Muslim extremists” from government manuals dealing with Islamic terrorism.

In a free country, American presidents shouldn’t be in the business of censoring language.

So let me just say for the record and while I still can: China Virus. China Virus. China Virus. China Virus. I hope you don’t catch the China Virus. China Virus. China Virus.

If Biden and cohorts keep up efforts to hold our speech hostage we may suffer from the Stockholm Syndrome and accept government-enforced restrictions on our tongues.

Wait a second! If Sweden dumped a billion bucks into a Biden hedge fund could they get the name of the Stockholm Syndrome changed?

Equity or Slavery?

Biden is notorious for flip-flopping positions depending on what garners him more power. Even his position on Executive Orders themselves changed faster than Cher changes costumes. In October, using Executive Orders instead of passing legislation was something a “dictator” does. Now, he signs them faster than Cher signs autographs. 

Here’s another one that makes no sense. On Tuesday, Biden announced a series of EOs and actions designed to combat what his earpiece calls the nation’s “systemic racism.” Domestic Policy Adviser Susan Rice declared every agency will have “equity “ as a goal. The purpose? Supposedly to correct the inequities in the system that have shortchanged African-Americans over the generations.

Meanwhile, the same Biden is stopping border wall construction, freeing detained illegal immigrants from ICE custody, and vowing to give citizenship to a minimum of 11 million illegal immigrants. Actions that have historically proven to destroy wage growth and opportunity … particularly for blacks.

Wage growth and opportunity which, not incidentally, was skyrocketing for blacks during the Trump Administration.

Nine out of Ten Know it

So is the true purpose of the “equity” agenda to raise the fortunes of disadvantaged African-American communities? Or is it to use the backs of those African-Americans to create a more socialist state? To cheapen African-American (and legal immigrant) labor to boost the fortunes of non-legal interlopers?

There’s a reason heavily-Hispanic towns along the Texas border went for Trump. There’s a reason Hispanic and African-American support for Trump jumped dramatically.

Already, Biden is giving them great reason to never go back. Already, Biden is providing great reason for others to #WalkAway. He’s taking the nation in the absolute wrong direction and nearly 9 out of 10 people know it.

You think of the November election and wonder: How many of Joe’s “80 million” voters are crooning the classic Cher tune: “If I Could Turn Back Time.”
