How Do We Best Train Winning Actions?

By James Robison Published on January 6, 2022

The Lord gave me an illustration He told me might help us all get moving and start winning.

If a parent or coach tells a kid trying to play baseball as they go to bat, “Don’t strike out!” — Followed by, “Remember, you struck out three times last week.” And, “Remember all the kids who struck out before you. How they got to anxious, didn’t watch the ball, and we lost.” — That kid will never hit well, or at all. He will never ever be a winner and will likely just quit baseball and all sports.

Sounds like lots of pastors, preachers and teachers to me, and looks like their teams. Some day I can tell you what Tom Landry, Barry Switzer and Jimmy Johnson and Coach McCartney told me personally several times. It stunned me!!

God wants to help you become a Vince Lombardi to coach the church to learn to win. What not to do and avoid is only a part and far from the biggest. He told me only He can get you there. He wants us to help His family to stop losing and win.
