Disney Doubles Down On Commitment to Sexual Perversion of Children
The world’s most respected provider of family entertainment just committed itself to supporting sexual perversion.
Disney — which gave the world Mickey Mouse, Disneyland and so many other beloved aspects of popular culture — announced March 21 it would create a task force to design more children’s content promoting homosexual and transgender identity.
“The company said the task force will enlist the help of experts to develop a concrete plan to ensure Disney is ‘a force for good’ for LGBTQ+ communities, especially children and family,” Reuters reported March 22.
That commitment meant restoring a same-sex kiss cut from the upcoming film Lightyear, part of the Toy Story franchise.
Opposing Legislation in Texas
On the same date, Disney announced it would fight an order by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott to investigate sex-change surgeries for children as illegal and possible child abuse. In a Feb. 22 letter the governor sent to Jaime Masters, commissioner for the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, Abbott wrote:
It is already against the law to subject Texas children to a wide variety of elective procedures for gender transitioning, including reassignment surgeries that can cause sterilization, mastectomies, removals of otherwise healthy body parts, and administration of puberty-blocking drugs or supraphysiologic doses of testosterone or estrogen.
In announcing its opposition, Disney joined such corporations as Apple, Facebook, Google, Johnson & Johnson and Microsoft, among others.
“We know the moment requires urgency, and words are not enough,” Disney CEO Bob Chapek said. “So we are taking some actions right now.”
Queering the Mouse
Chapek’s stance reflects his attempts to appease an increasingly “woke” base of employees and contractors. That base took exception when Florida’s legislature passed a bill March 9 prohibiting teachers, administrators or guests from encouraging “classroom discussion about sexual orientation or gender identity in primary grade levels,” the bill stated.
After actors, writers and animators who previously collaborated with Disney vented on social media, Chapek contacted Florida Gov. Rick DeSantis, who supports the bill, on March 9 “to express our disappointment and concern that if the legislation becomes law, it could be used to unfairly target gay, lesbian, non-binary and transgender kids and families,” the CEO said.
“We were opposed to the bill from the outset,” Chapek said. “But we chose not to take a public position on it because we thought we could be more effective working behind-the-scenes, engaging directly with lawmakers on both sides of the aisle.”
DeSantis replied the next day:
When you have companies that have made a fortune out of being family-friendly and catering to families and young kids, they should understand that parents of young kids do not want this injected into their kindergarten classroom. In Florida, our policies are going to be based on the best interests of Florida citizens, not on the musing of ‘woke’ corporations.
The “woke” were not amused.
Sympathetic Disney employees staged walkouts. On March 18, ESPN, which Disney owns, interrupted its coverage of the NCAA women’s basketball tournament with two minutes of silence in “solidarity” with transgender athletes. Four days later, the network started a Twitter thread with this statement:
ESPN believes in inclusivity and denounces legislation and actions across the United States that infringe on any human rights. We stand with our LGBTQIA+ colleagues, friends, families and fans.
The Real Agenda
But all the rhetoric about “diversity” and “inclusion” hides a more sinister purpose, as the Daily Wire’s Megan Basham reported.
After Chapek spoke March 21 about his company’s decisions, “a panel of LGBT activists gave a talk one Disney staffer said was ‘about wanting Disney to indoctrinate kids,'” Basham reported.
That staffer also characterized similar presentations “as a strategy session for circumventing the will of mothers and fathers,” Basham reported.
“These activist employees and outside organizations recognize Disney’s cultural significance,” the employee told Basham. “They want to use the company to make an end-run around parents through content creation and political pressure. They see it as their mission to rescue the next generation from their conservative parents.”
Disney Employees Arrested in Sex Trafficking Sting
But what’s the purpose of this “rescue”? Perhaps the sheriff’s department in Polk County, Florida, can provide an answer.
When sheriff’s deputies recently arrested 108 suspects for human trafficking in a sting operation, four worked for Disney. One, a 27-year-old lifeguard at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort at Walt Disney World, allegedly sent sexually explicit pictures and messages to an undercover agent posing as a 14-year-old girl. A second was a 24-year-old man who worked at a restaurant in Walt Disney World. Two others were a 45-year-old IT expert and a 27-year-old software developer.
“Four arrests of this magnitude in a week is simply remarkable,” Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said March 16.
Polk County is just southwest of Orlando, where Walt Disney World is.
The Ultimate Goal
Support for homosexual and transgender “rights,” ultimately, has nothing to do with “diversity,” “inclusion” or even human trafficking. It reflects a problem as old as the Garden of Eden.
“Gender ideology is a Luciferian refusal to receive a sexual nature from God,” said Catholic Cardinal Robert Sarah, former prefect of the Vatican’s Congregation on Divine Worship. “From Him we receive our nature as man and woman. This is intolerable to modern minds. Thus some rebel against God and pointlessly mutilate themselves in order to change their sex. But in reality, they do not fundamentally change anything of their structure as man or woman.”
As a result, the developed world — if not all of humanity — faces an existential crisis.
“Fundamentally, I believe that Western man refuses to be saved by God’s mercy,” Sarah said. “He refuses to receive salvation, wanting to build it for himself.”
Those who do so, as the unidentified Disney employee told Basham, demand conformity at the expense of long-standing identity.
“This is a complete institutional takeover,” the staffer said. “Disney is lost.”
