Anthony Esolen is professor and writer in residence at Magdalen College of the Liberal Arts, in Warner, New Hampshire. He previously taught at Providence College and St. Thomas More College. Among his many books are Out of the Ashes: Rebuilding American Culture, and Nostalgia: Going Home in a Homeless World, and most recently The Hundredfold: Songs for the Lord. A distinguished scholarly translator, he translated Lucretius’s On the Nature of Things, Tasso’s Jerusalem Delivered, and Dante’s Divine Comedy. He also serves on the editorial board of Touchstone magazine.
