On the Scene at One Planned Parenthood Protest (Multimedia)
August 22, 2015 — As protesters gathered outside Planned Parenthood clinics and offices across America to make a statement against abortion, journalists from The Stream attended a rally in Bedford, Texas and took pictures and conducted interviews. The mass protests were called nationwide in the wake of a series of devastating undercover videos documenting what really goes on in the abortion process and the subsequent distribution of baby body parts (euphemistically called ‘fetal tissue’ and ‘specimens’). The public outcry builds on a groundswell of horror spreading across the country as abortion clinics’ gruesome underside is dramatized to the public.
We have included a slideshow of the Bedford protest along with some audio clips of interviews, for you to get an idea of what it was like at just one of the rallies.
