HHS and the Abortion Industry: The 190+ Pages Released to The Stream through FOIA

The Stream submitted a Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA) request to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in July 2015, requesting information on the agency’s oversight of Planned Parenthood’s fetal research. In response, HHS turned over 190 pages of heavily redacted emails (below), as well as letters to Congress indicating they had not conducted any oversight of Planned Parenthood in this area since 2007, claiming that federal law requiring oversight of HHS grants for fetal research does not apply.
