Watch: Women Don’t Need Planned Parenthood… So Why Should HHS Fund It?

Will anyone hold HHS accountable for working against President Trump's pro-life agenda?

Planned Parenthood claims it provides women “vital health services.” It claims women need Planned Parenthood.

Of course the abortion provider would tout that claim, considering Planned Parenthood receives over half a billion dollars in taxpayer funding every year. It has to justify its public funding somehow, right?

But it’s a lie that’s been spread so many times, that most of the public still don’t know it’s not true at all.

The Numbers Don’t Lie

Consider this…

If Planned Parenthood is so essential to women, why does it only perform 2% of manual breast exams, and less than 1% of Pap smear tests in the country?

Why doesn’t the organization have a single mammogram machine in its clinics?

Why are the services that it does provide so limited compared to what women can get at a regular doctor’s office?

Abortion is Planned Parenthood’s biggest money maker. The rest of its services are just accessories.

Why have its sexual health services, like Pap smear tests, STD tests, and breast exams gone down year after year?

Why has the number of patients that go to Planned Parenthood decreased from 3 million in 2011 to 2.4 million in 2017?

If women can’t do without Planned Parenthood, why has there been no women’s health crisis after hundreds of Planned Parenthood clinics have shut down in the past decade?

It claims to give women “choices.” So why are its prenatal services virtually non-existent? For pregnant women, the only “service” it offers them and their babies is abortion.

The Lie That Just Won’t Die

“Oh but abortion is only 3% of what Planned Parenthood does!”

Really? Then how did Planned Parenthood become the biggest abortion provider in America?

The truth is, the abortion giant performs more than one third of all abortions in the country. It kills over 320,000 babies every year. Those are real numbers that speak volumes more than the debunked 3% lie that abortion is only a small percentage of what it does.

Abortion is Planned Parenthood’s bottom line. After all, abortion is its biggest money maker. The rest of its services are just accessories.

An Organization Mired in Scandal After Scandal

My question is: Why should taxpayers fund this abortion giant when it’s been mired in scandal after scandal?

Planned Parenthood has been caught covering up child sexual abuse for years. It has committed Medicaid fraud. It has a documented history of violating health and safety standards.

And worst of all, in 2015, an undercover investigation conducted by the Center for Medical Progress caught the organization selling aborted baby parts for profit. Planned Parenthood has been making millions on the front end and the back end of its business from the broken bodies of aborted babies.

Do we need any more evidence that Planned Parenthood should be defunded?

Women Facing Unplanned Pregnancies Do Need Help… But Not From Planned Parenthood

And yet, the Department of Health and Human Services, or HHS, a federal department under the Trump administration, is still funding it. Between Title X, its Family Planning program, and Medicaid, the abortion giant still receives over half a billion dollars in taxpayer money every year.

Indeed, I think we can all agree that women facing unplanned pregnancies need help. That’s one thing HHS is for. The department controls the money that goes to programs that could help women and children.

Why is HHS still funding Planned Parenthood — whose business is based on aborting babies that are conceived?

But its own stated goal since President Trump took office says, “HHS accomplishes its mission through programs and initiatives that cover a wide spectrum of activities, serving and protecting Americans at every stage of life, from conception.”

Yes, that’s right, from conception.

So why is HHS still funding Planned Parenthood — whose business is based on aborting babies that are conceived? These limited funds could easily be redirected to pro-life initiatives that would help women and their babies, without aiding the abortion industry.

The department is violating its own stated mission.

HHS Needs to be Held Accountable

Donald Trump ran on a pro-life agenda. He won with the backing of many in the pro-life movement. He even appointed pro-lifers to head HHS, including Secretary Alex Azar.

But in practice, HHS is working against President Trump’s pro-life agenda. In the last 2 years, the department has not done a thing that one can safely say has resulted in saving a single preborn child from abortion.

All the while HHS has continued to fund Planned Parenthood and maintain the pro-abortion status quo that was under President Obama.

It Gets Worse

Making matters worse, the National Institutes of Health, or NIH, which is under HHS, have maintained over $100 million in fetal research spending that experiments on aborted babies purchased from the abortion industry.

How can we stand for this, when our own government is complicit in the sale of and experimentation on aborted babies?

The NIH has created a market and an incentive for Planned Parenthood and its allies to continue killing and harvesting aborted baby parts. Is there any wonder why Planned Parenthood won’t stop killing babies? The government has contracts for their dead body parts.

“It is sending the message that these children are worth more dead than alive,” said undercover citizen journalist, David Daleiden. I wholly agree.

Who Will Speak Up?

This should outrage us all. How can we stand for this, when our own government is complicit in the sale of and experimentation on aborted babies?

Indeed, the American people deserve an explanation. HHS needs to be held accountable. Funding for Planned Parenthood needs to stop.

I’m sorry, pro-lifers like me will not stay silent. If our government is one “of the people, by the people, for the people,” then we the people have an obligation to speak up.

Something must change at HHS. Perhaps President Trump should replace those at HHS with pro-lifers who will actually get the job done.
