Trump Reverses Federal Bathroom Folly. Will Fairfax Follow?

Fairfax administrators weren’t bribed or cowed into making these radical changes. They ran at them with open arms.

That warm breeze you feel is the collective sigh of relief by the nation’s moms and dads, now that the reckless Obama bathroom mandate has been rescinded.

But in counties like Fairfax, will it make a difference?

Even before the Obama administration evolved on transgenderism, the Fairfax County School Board voted 10-1 to make showers, locker rooms, bathrooms, sports teams — even hotel rooms on overnight trips — open to opposite-sex students who claim a gender contrary to their biology.

Fairfax administrators weren’t bribed or cowed into making these radical changes. They ran at them with open arms.

The Fairfax County school system is one of the largest in the country, and its governing body one of the most Left leaning.

For nearly two years, school board members have heard from angry parents who sign up to speak at their biweekly board meetings. Like the mom who testified that it is dangerous and reckless to allow biological males onto girls’ sports teams. She told them she fears for the physical safety of her petite daughter.

And the Muslim father who, having moved his family to Fairfax County for its schools, has taken his daughters out of public school but can’t afford another private tuition for his young son. “Public schools should be for everyone,” he said, through tears.

Sex ed from kindergarten through twelfth grade includes numerous examples of age-inappropriate, excessively graphic, controversial material.

Beyond showers and sports teams, there is also the matter of sex education. The Fairfax County curriculum is now replete with positive references to transgenderism. The lessons speak of children who are “assigned the sex of male” at birth but who really have a “gender identity of female.” Students are taught that some people“transition … to living and presenting themselves as the gender that matches their gender identity.”

Included in the over eighty hours of sex ed planned for each student from kindergarten through twelfth grade are numerous examples of age-inappropriate, excessively graphic, and controversial material, going well beyond what is required by state law. One lesson for eighth graders includes 18 mentions of the phrase,“anal sex.” Videos on sexual violence prevention include the themes of a stepbrother taking dubious photographs of his stepsister and a father raping his daughter.

Earlier this month a high school freshman named “Katie” (a pseudonym) was forced to sit through a highly politicized LGBT lesson at the beginning of Math class, via closed circuit TV. Her parents were not given the opportunity to opt her out. They weren’t even given notice.

“After watching the video, it was my impression that the Fairfax County school district was attempting to force me to believe in something that doesn’t respect my beliefs,” Katie told the Fairfax County School Board at a recent meeting. “The whole situation made me feel stressed and uncomfortable.”

Even battle-weary Fairfax parents were caught off guard by what the freshmen class at Chantilly High had to watch because they thought the controversial sex-related material was restricted to the sex education curriculum, known as Family Life Education, from which parents can opt out their children.

But there are no opt out forms offered for “character lessons” in morning Math class.

“This video was about diversity and yet it seems as if my rights and beliefs as a Catholic are not respected.” — Fairfax Co. freshman

Brave Katie did what she could, albeit after the fact. She stood before the Fairfax County School Board and told them, “I was raised to have respect for others. I do not need to be told to respect others. My respect for an individual does not mean that I have to approve of their lifestyle choices.”

“This video was about diversity and yet it seems as if my rights and beliefs as a Catholic are not respected,” she said. “I do not believe that the school should be trying to force me to accept LGBT beliefs.”

How naïve. But she’s only a freshman. The school board has loads of time to turn her yet.

For its reversal of the Obama edict, the Trump administration earns high marks in Biology, Social Studies, and Comparative Religion. Unfortunately, the Fairfax County School Board seems to care only about being politically correct.

The parents there can put a stop to that junk anytime they want to. Apparently, not many of them want to.

“Trump Reverses Federal Bathroom Folly. Will Fairfax Follow?”

The better question is whether the parents of those children will wake up and pull their kids out of the irremediably corrupt government school system?

And whether the taxpayers of Fairfax will close up the purse and starve the beast of its funds.

Don’t think so though, that would all be too much effort.

    >”“This video was about diversity and yet it seems as if my rights and beliefs as a Catholic are not respected,” she said. “I do not believe that the school should be trying to force me to accept LGBT beliefs.”<
    YES!!!
Belief in non-existent imaginary slavery endorsing invisible magicians is SO MUCH MORE IMPORTANT than children being bullied based only on those beliefs!

    • Gary

Everyone knows that God is real, including you. Atheists simply hate God so much they think that denying His existence is the best way they can show their hatred.

      • glenbo

        >”Everyone knows that God is real, including you.””Atheists simply hate God so much they think that denying His existence is the best way they can show their hatred.”<

If I did believe, I would certainly not approve of his child
murder and condoning of slavery and rape…things believers tend to find
acceptable and/or push out of their minds as baffling and immoral it is to do so.

By your reasoning, I can accuse you of hating Leprechauns,
despite the fact you know they exist.

        • Gary

The evidence for God’s existence is overwhelming and everywhere. You know full well that God exists, you are just lying about it.

          • glenbo

            >”the evidence for God’s existence is overwhelming and everywhere.””You know full well that God exists, you are just lying about it.”<

This is an absurd statement. You are incapable of knowing what occurs within my mind.

          • Gary

Never mind. I’m happy with your beliefs just as they are.

          • glenbo

            >”I’m happy with your beliefs just as they are.”<
My, you change your tune quickly.
Now please excuse me, I have to go buy some slaves from the heathens around me.
            Leviticus 25:44-46

          • Gary

            Why is slavery immoral?

          • Billy Chickens

Oh so you atheists study the Bible? You must also study the Quran from your comments above – murder, slavery, and rape, but you left out the beheadings, mutilation, honor killings and such. The Muslims would love to buy you for their slave since you’re a non-believer. They’re still doing that today, er…just in case you didn’t already know that…which I doubt you do.

          • glenbo

            >” Oh so you atheists study the Bible?”<

Yes, we do and often more so than most Christians, as we are
aware of the negative effects religion has on society.

But you seem to be saying that religion postulates absurd
dictates and you are correct in doing so.

Thank you for affirming my point.

          • Billy Chickens

But there is a difference in religions. They have not the same God. Only Judaism and Christianity are Abrahamic faiths while Islam was conceived by Muhammad’s jinn apparition who was Satan. You, being an atheist would be familiar with that, right? And you did not answer if you study the Quran as well as the Bible. Or are you a bigot where it’s only Christianity you abhor, while Islam is just fine because it also is against Christianity…which makes you two friends and on the same side. “The enemy of my enemy is my friend” and all that. See?

          • glenbo

            >”And you did not answer if you study the Quran as well as the Bible.”<

You didn't directly ask if I did, but obviously I haven't as I have no need to. I'm not sure what your point is.

Islam and Christianity make the same promises–reward of heavenly eternity, (Janna) and threats…eternity in Hell. (Jahannam) They dictate the same general guidelines to control societal behaviors including tithing, or Zakat. (Zakat is the Islamic religious tax, which is paid annually by Muslims around the world, usually during the month-long fast of Ramadan. Zakat is one of the pillars of Islam.)

But Islam is irrelevant, as the GOP is (currently) in control of the U.S. and the GOP abuses Christianity as a tool to acquire power. Therefore, our lives in America are being directly influenced by Christianity despite America being a so-called "secular" nation.
Muslims believe there is only one "god," the same one Christians believe in (Old Testament) and that Jesus was not a prophet but a messenger. Islam is a mere plagiarism of Christianity…600 years later.

          • Billy Chickens

Good grief, are you ever uninformed!! Allah is NOT the same as the Judeo-Christian God. Are you ever way out in left field – and I mean radical left field. Better brush up on your religious education so, as an atheist, if you’re going to attack religious people you’ll at least be able to do it knowledgeably and not make atheists look so totally uneducated.

          • glenbo

            >”Allah is NOT the same as the Judeo-Christian God.”<

The Qur'an and hadith give the same account of the creation of Adam and Eve. According to the Qur'an, when Allah informed the angels that he was going to put a successor on Earth, they questioned whether the human would cause bloodshed and damage, but He told them that He knew what they did not. He created Adam from clay and He breathed life into him. Hadith add that he was named Adam after the clay he was made out of, or the skin (adim) of the earth. Sunni hadith say that while Adam was sleeping, God took a rib from him and from it He created Eve; however, while the creation of Adam and Eve is referred to in the Qur'an, the exact method of creation is not specified. The Qur'an then says hat God commanded that Adam and Eve not eat from one tree in the garden of Eden, but Iblis was able to convince them to taste it. They then began to cover
themselves because they now knew that they were naked. For this, God banished Adam and Eve to earth; non-canonical Sunni hadith say that fruits were turned
to thorns and pregnancy became dangerous. Non-canonical Sunni hadith also say that Adam and Eve were cast down far apart, so that they had to search for each
            other.
Sounds like the same god to me.
By the way, a Muslim friend of mine told me God and Allah are one in the same.

          • Billy Chickens

Of course your Muslim friend would say that….And you believe him? The “same God test” doesn’t make it past Abraham. Muslims believe that everyone in the Quran are/were Muslims. Abraham, Moses, Isaac, Jacob, Mary the Mother of Jesus, and even Jesus himself…they believe that they were all Muslims…and that Jesus will come back at the end of the world and kill every last Jew and Christian. Not at all the same beliefs or the same God. Allah is Satan …while the Judeo-Christian God is well…really God.

          • glenbo

            >”Allah is Satan …while the Judeo-Christian God is well…really God.”<
Umm…yeah…I don't believe there is a satan or a god. Sorry.
What does this have to do with transgender rights, anyway?

          • Billy Chickens

Well I don’t believe that there is not not God. You don’t believe there is God or Satan yet you believe your Muslim friend when he or she tells you anything. Someone could tell you that Muslims never behead people and you’d believe it. You started the God/atheist conversation so why are you complaining about the direction of the conversation?

Are you transgender? You mentioned transgender “rights”. I think a normal (real) woman ought to have the right to not wonder if a man dressed like a woman but nevertheless a man still with his male equipment will be in the bathroom with her or her teenage daughters or her per-teen daughters. I think transgender people need to know that normal people consider them to be exactly what they are – weird and abnormal, and normal heterosexual people will never ever agree with their agenda. See…that’s why Obama had to shove it down people’s throats, just like the dictator he was.

          • glenbo

            >” you believe your Muslim
friend when he or she tells you anything”” Someone could tell you that
Muslims never behead people and you’d believe it.”
” Are you transgender?”” I think transgender people need to know that normal people consider them to be exactly what they are – weird
and abnormal”” normal heterosexual people will
never ever agree with their agenda.”<

            GOOD LORD!
Wanting to be treated equal is an “agenda?”
Sorry, sir. You have lost ALL credibility with your total lack of accurate knowledge of LGBT people coupled with your abject bigotry and hatred.

          • Billy Chickens

Right, just when I’m winning you resort to ad hominem attacks because you can’t answer without being angry, which is a typical sign of liberals – or people who cannot come up with any coherent answers to the truth.

Well, if you don’t agree with Christianity or religion then you need to know that other people don’t agree with the transgender hoopla. And yes, I, as well as every normal person in the world, knows being transgender is. It’s abnormal. Besides, no operation or hormone therapy will ever erase the XX or XY chromosomes in every cell in our bodies. In addition, XXs can never become XYs and vice versa. Any geneticist would always be able to tell that this person is a man, or this person is a woman.

          • glenbo

            >” because you can’t answer without being angry””you don’t agree with Christianity or religion”” And yes, I, as well as every normal person in the
            world, knows being transgender is.”<

No, sir. You do not. You are too focused on what society, or
specifically your religion has decided and taught you what is “normal.” What then is the definition of “normal?”

            Are intersex children “abnormal?”
Is a girl born with two heads “abnormal?
            Are Down syndrome people “abnormal?”
            Is cancer “abnormal?”

Who are you to decide who and/or what is to be deemed “normal,”
and who are you to decide the reject that which you have been taught is “abnormal?”

What makes another’s “abnormality” any of your business?

But even more important, who are you to dictate how others
            are to live their lives?

          • Billy Chickens

Who is a transgender person to tell normal people that they must agree with transgenderism?
Normal means an entity is part of the majority percentage of all like entities, or a certain standard that all others of the same entity have. Where were you educated that you don’t know that?

          • glenbo

            You didn’t answer my questions.

          • Billy Chickens

Well, yes I did but the Darkness possessing your mind prevents you from seeing.

          • glenbo

            >”Well, yes I did”<
            No, sir.
            You did not.
You are now playing a childish game.

          • Billy Chickens

The Darkness which possesses your mind prevents you from seeing.

          • glenbo

What I see is someone incapable of having a reasoned adult discussion.

          • Billy Chickens

What I see is a jaded liberal and everyone knows there’s no chance of anyone “having a reasoned adult discussion” with them….which you have aptly proved. So now I will go on to more recent posts. Bye, Katie!

    • imamazed

you sure are an angry lost soul….I am praying for you

      • glenbo

        >”I am praying for you”<
Why would you waste your prayers on me when 20,000 children will die today…and tomorrow…and the next day?
Perhaps you should use your "prayers" for those souls God has forsaken.

  • iprazhm

Now that the president has reversed this dastardly ‘memo’ sent to schools by Obama, parents can demand local officials follow REAL law which forbids men to enter the women’s room. They can demand teachers, principles and school board members who continue to mandate the sexual violation of children, be arrested.
