‘They are Liars’: J6 Narratives Blown Sky High by Tucker Carlson’s J6 Tape Revelations

By Al Perrotta Published on March 6, 2023

A supposed insurrectionist being escorted around the Capitol like royalty. A Capitol Hill police officer vigorously walking inside the Capitol after supposedly being murdered. A senator vindicated after being laughed off as a coward. A likely Fed embraced by the J6 committee proven to be a liar.

And that was just night one of Tucker Carlson’s review of the January 6 tapes.

Gee, That’s Not What We Were Told for Two Years!

Carlson opened by presenting a montage of the violent J6 footage that has been drilled into our brain for the past two years. But that is only a fragment of the story, which the Democrats and the media had to sell in order to inflict a crackdown on political opposition.

The story the J6 Committee ran with in prime time.

However, 40,000 hours of surveillance footage from the Capitol offers a different picture. A picture, as Carlson repeated over and over, that proves the Committee and Democrats were lying.

“The footage does not show an insurrection or a riot in progress. Instead, it shows police escorting protesters through the building, including the now infamous ‘QAnon Shaman.'”  (More on him in a second.)

Overwhelmingly, the people inside the Capitol were peaceful and polite. Even queuing up as if entering a seating for afternoon tea. “They were not insurrectionists. They were tourists.”

“They take cheerful selfies and smile,” said Tucker, “They are not destroying the Capitol. They obviously revere the Capitol.”

And yet for two years, they have been hunted, hounded, their lives ruined … many tossed in jail with no key or trial in sight.

The QAnon Shaman Jacob Chansley

Jacob Chansley, the so-called QAnon Shaman, is suffering 41 months hard time for his role in January 6. The bearded ex-military man with the Viking garb became the face of the “insurrection,” the image of him staking a claim to the Senate chamber indelibly imprinted on the American memory.

But what does the footage really show? Carlson traced Chansley’s movements. This supposed domestic terrorist, this commandant of insurrection, this Nordic Bin Laden, was guided through the halls by Capitol Hill police like a cast-member of Game of Thrones being escorted onto the set. Nine officers are seen within touching range of Chansley on his leisurely stroll. None move to arrest him or stop him. None even look bothered that he’s there.

Why didn’t they arrest him? “They regarded him as harmless,” the New York Post’s Miranda Devine told Tucker.

The QAnon Shaman was even seen stopping to pray and give thanks for the officers. I wonder. Did any of the ANTIFA/BLM rioters who tried breaching the White House in May 2020 stop and pray for any of the officers? Were they gently escorted around the White House perimeter?

Any one of them spending any time in prison?

Jacob Chansley? He was sentenced to 41 months.

Officer Brian Sicknick Propaganda Victim

By nightfall, the message of January 6 was set in stone. A message you could not challenge without threat of punishment. (The Stream did, on January 8.)  January 6 was a “deadly insurrection.” Carlson played a montage of assorted characters reading the same lines from the script.

But the tapes prove that January 6 was “neither an insurrection or deadly.” That didn’t stop Kamala Harris, Nancy Pelosi and their media mouthpieces of accusing rioters to this day of “causing the death of five officers.” Biden still blasts rally attendees of “killing several officers.”

That was never true.

Particular attention was given to Officer Brian Sicknick. The New York Times declared that Sicknick had been killed after being hit over the head with a fire extinguisher. The story spread throughout the media. The Times would quietly retract the claim after the damage was done, but still the narrative holds that Sicknick was gravely injured by the mob in front of the Capitol.

Tragically, Sicknick did pass away the next day, but from a stroke. What’s more, Carlson found tape of a vigorous Officer Sicknick inside the Capitol after he was supposedly murdered, looking none the worse for wear.

Carlson reported that the J6 Committee saw the tape. They “knew he was walking normally through the Capitol after he was supposedly murdered by Trump supporters.” But they did not release the tape. “Because hiding the truth served their political interests.”

The Lying Mr. Epps. The Slandered Sen. Hawley

Tucker Carlson made brief work of Ray Epps. He is the middle-aged man seen on January 6 and the night before, very publicly urging the storming of the U.S. Capitol. Yet, for some strange reason, Epps has never been charged. There’s even a text of him telling a nephew he “orchestrated” a move on the Capitol. Yet the J6 Committee, who had no trouble calling fellow House members “insurrectionists,” treated Epps as if he’d bought them front row seats to Springsteen.

Epps told the Committee he left the Capitol grounds “immediately” after sending his text No, he wasn’t anywhere near the trouble. Tucker’s team found video proving that Epps lied. He was spotted on the Capitol grounds a half-an-hour after the text was sent.

Was Epps a Fed? Carlson noted that the government now acknowledges that agents and assets were present. However, he was not going to out people on the tapes acting suspicious without proof.

The J6 Committee mocked Sen. Josh Hawley as a coward, showing footage of the conservative lawmaker trotting out of the Capitol building. Fleeing, they say, from the insurrection he’d helped ignite.

One problem. The J6 Committee doctored the tape. The full clip shows Hawley was part of a larger group of lawmakers being rushed out of the building by security. In fact, the supposed coward was at the back of the pack. The Federalist wrote about this smear job on Hawley last year, detailing “exceedingly dishonest” it was.

Why the Lies? Why the Cover-Up?

If January 6 was truly the gravest threat to democracy since the Civil War, you wouldn’t have to lie. You wouldn’t have to slander. You wouldn’t have to make domestic terrorists out of peaceful protesters … heck, docile tourists. You wouldn’t have to invent the murder of police officers, then hide the proof of the non-crime.

Why the deception? Who crafted the “deadly insurrection” narrative that popped up ready-made before most of the crowd that day had made it back to their hotel rooms? Who benefited? Certainly not MAGA folks. The riot stopped lengthy Constitutionally-mandated floor debate on demonstrable election irregularities in the swing states.

Seems important to learn the answers to these questions now that we are getting a better understanding of what really went on that January afternoon.

Tucker Carlson promises we will learn more Tuesday night.
