The Brew: Would You Face Down Satanists and Take a Beating for Jesus? This Man Did
It’s in the midst of misery and sin that God’s grace shines forth the brightest. That’s why the darkest day in human history, which saw the Romans crucify Jesus Christ, the Son of God, has been called “Good Friday” since apostolic times. All but one of the apostles died as martyrs, and the blood of many thousands like them became the seed of the Church.
So forgive me for telling you about an ugly, appalling event, as a necessary prelude to a stirring moment of grace.
The Kansas state Capitol building in Topeka was recently the scene of a grim, unseemly gathering: Satanists rallying to mock the Last Supper in a “Black Mass,” using (it was rumored, the truth is still unclear) a consecrated host stolen from a Catholic Mass, which they planned to stomp on and defile. The Kansas Reflector reported:
The bullhorn-powered war of words between satanists and Catholics boiled over into brawling and a handful of arrests Friday during an extraordinary event at the Kansas Capitol that pushed boundaries of free speech and the separation of church and state.
After about two hours of speeches, prayers and sign waving among hundreds of people mostly segregated by barricades staffed by law enforcement officers, Satanic Grotto president Michael Stewart, with supporters and reporters in tow, entering the Statehouse to conduct what he had described as a black mass.
After shouting a series of prayers to Satan and mockeries of Jesus that were partly drowned out by Christian counter-demonstrators (an ecumenical group including some evangelicals), Stewart started to stomp on what some organizers had promised would be hosts from a Catholic Mass. One Catholic counter-demonstrator threw himself under Stewart’s feet to shelter the hosts, and quickly consumed them — the correct response to imminent blasphemy, Catholics believe. You can watch the video here. (WARNING: Please note that the video contains gross blasphemy, profanity, and physical violence!)
The unnamed defender of the Eucharist, who’d blended in with the Satanists, was pummeled and stomped on, his own body sheltering what Catholics believe is the body of Christ.
Whether or not you believe in the literalist (Catholic and Orthodox) reading of “This is My Body,” there’s a powerful lesson here: We are all called on as Christians to defend the Body of Christ in whatever form it presents itself to us. Most often, that will be in the body of fellow believers, who are even now being persecuted more than any other religious group on earth — from Africa to Asia, and even in European countries where the government favors Muslim colonists and imprisons dissident citizens. We also see every innocent victim of sin as an image of Jesus, the unspotted lamb who was spat upon before being murdered. That’s why we defend unborn children, the sick threatened with euthanasia, and confused kids groomed by adults into medical mutilation.
The Crusades, for all the abuses that individual soldiers might have committed, were at heart a religious pilgrimage in which fervent Christians laid down their lives to reverse Islamic persecution in the Holy Land.
The proper response to evil differs according to the specific situation. Sometimes we simply pray and sing. At others we must step forward bodily or employ the sword of Caesar. But the one response we’re never allowed is passive indifference. That’s precisely what the Enemy wants of us.
Mostly Peaceful Protest Calls for Burning Teslas
When Barack Obama was elected president after decades of attending a Marxist church whose pastor preached “God d–n America,” Republicans didn’t riot in the streets, hang Obama in effigy, or target his corporate supporters with acts of terrorism. But that’s how the Left is responding to Donald Trump’s election, in one ugly incident after another. Here’s a gathering that calls for people to burn other people’s cars because of the political views of the carmaker, Elon Musk:
THIS IS WHAT CRAZY LOOKS LIKE!!!
Radical leftists are SCREAMING: “Burn a Tesla, Save Democracy”
Just an FYI, Tesla is an AMERICAN CAR COMPANY that the left used to PRAISE!

There’s also footage of a middle-aged lady in New York holding a picture of Donald Trump in a noose. We can’t post it because her rant is so profane, but you could find it on X by searching “Hang Trump.” The inarticulate rage that’s in the air is profoundly disturbing, and seems impervious to rational argument.
Go to College, Learn How to Weave Yourself into a Basket Case
And our colleges are intentionally training young people to think and act this way. See this unsettling clip from a Prager University video, where a young woman who was throwing around the charge of “misogyny” at conservatives was politely asked a very simple question: to define the word and explain what she meant. Here’s how she reacted:
Woman breaks down after being asked to define “misogyny.”

We shouldn’t laugh at this young woman. It’s tragic that those paid to teach her how to think have instead conditioned her like some laboratory animal, and rendered her unable to deal with the mildest intellectual pushback; instead, she is reduced to sobbing and taking flight. That’s what millions of young people are going deep into debt to “learn.” The sooner the Trump administration defunds not just Columbia University but the entire academic establishment, the better for everyone. Why pay people to turn our young into brittle, hysterical snowflakes?
Watch these Columbia graduates shredding their own diplomas because their university isn’t sufficiently committed to supporting Hamas. (Though I’d say the school gives that cause the old college try.)
BREAKING: Terror-supporting Columbia grads stood outside the gates, ripped up their diplomas, and chanted “Free Palestine.”
If they hate Columbia so much, they should leave and stop disrupting those who actually want to learn.pic.twitter.com/aKUTkmbjIP

Love Her or Hate Her, Laura Loomer Gets the Goods
I’ve been arguing for a week now that we shouldn’t view the Signalgate scandal, which saw leftist smearmonger Jeffrey Goldberg of The Atlantic added into a classified Defense Department briefing on planned U.S. military strikes against Yemen, as an innocent screw-up. Instead, I think the event was another Russiagate style psy-op, a carefully planned Deep State act of sabotage against the Trump administration, intended to force the resignation of one or more valued appointees — especially Pete Hegseth. Now independent journalist and occasional firebrand Laura Loomer is making the same argument, and offering receipts.
When SignalGate exposed that Atlantic editor Jeffrey Goldberg was added to a Trump admin group chat, I did some digging.
Alex Wong is Mike Waltz’s Deputy NatSec Advisor. He’s married to a DOJ attorney named Candace Chiu Wong who worked under Biden AND Obama.

Trump team insiders have apparently caught on to this psy-op, Politico reports:
BREAKING: POLITICO reports that Vice President J.D. Vance, Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, and top personnel official Sergio Gor urged President Trump in a private meeting to fire National Security Advisor Mike Waltz over “Signalgate.”

Along The Stream…
For a different view of the Signalgate fiasco, see intel expert Tim Furnish’s column later this morning, which argues that incompetence rather than malice lies behind this breach of security, which could have seriously endangered American servicemen. (By God’s providence, it didn’t.)
Yet another angle on this political scandal is offered by long-time Stream contributor Chenyuan Snider — a survivor of Red China — at noon. She shows the most unexpected silver lining in this leak: documentary proof that President Trump is far from a dictator, but in fact the eminently teachable leader of a harmonious, thoughtful team of patriotic statesmen.
