The Brew: CNN & The New York Times Spin Ceasefire Success Into WW3 Teaser

By Gayle McQueary Published on June 26, 2025

In a world where peace hangs by a thread and missiles are lighting up the Middle Eastern sky, CNN and The New York Times are spinning tales faster than a barista can serve up your morning cup of joe — turning a fragile Israel-Iran ceasefire into propaganda for Iran.

CNN first reported contents from a leaked preliminary U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency report suggesting that the U.S. strikes taking out Iran’s nuclear facilities over the weekend only delayed its capabilities by months. The New York Times parroted that narrative yesterday.

President Donald Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth called out the fake news during a press conference at the NATO summit in the Netherlands yesterday.

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard also criticized the reports in a post on X (formerly Twitter) verifying that Iran’s three key nuclear facilities have been destroyed.

Yet CNN stands 100% behind Bertrand’s report:

Tragedy Strikes Again

Seven Israeli soldiers were killed in southern Gaza Wednesday when a Hamas operative detonated an explosive device inside their armored vehicle, setting it ablaze, according to The Times of Israel.

Hamas claimed responsibility for the attack, but at press time there had been no word if they might also have injured two soldiers from the same battalion when their armored bulldozer was struck by an RPG.

Israeli leaders said they are doing what they can to minimize civilian causalities in the war with Hamas. The Hamas-run Gaza health ministry has claimed more than 56,000 people have been killed in the conflict; that figure is unverifiable because there’s no way to differentiate civilians from Hamas fighters. Israel claims to have killed around 21,600 combatants since Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, 2023.

Please continue praying for peace and an the end to unnecessary bloodshed.

McIver Pleads ‘Not Guilty’

Back in May, we were encouraged to see justice returning to America as lawless Democrat public officials were held accountable for rude and sometimes downright vulgar behavior. One of them is U.S. Rep. LaMonica McIver from New Jersey, who verbally and physically assaulted federal agents outside an ICE detention facility in Newark. U.S. Attorney Alina Habba charged McIver with a criminal complaint earlier this month.

Yesterday, McIver appeared in federal court to face trial for those three federal charges. Just the News reports[

According to prosecutors, McIver sought to block the arrest of Newark Democrat Mayor Ras Baraka, whom lawmakers had invited to the facility but who was later ordered by a federal officer to leave, The Hill news outlet reported.

Last month, McIver said she rejected a plea deal, suggesting officials wanted her to “admit to doing something that I did not do.”

“Rep. McIver has confidently entered her official plea: not guilty,” McIver spokesperson Hanna Rumsey said. “She is crystal clear that she will not back down as leaders across this country are targeted for speaking up. These charges have always been about politics and Rep. McIver will not be deterred from doing the work the people of New Jersey elected her to do. The [c]ongresswoman will not fold.”

Isn’t if funny how the First Amendment seems to be very important when “leaders across this country are targeted for speaking up” — but when the average Joe peacefully prays or sings hymns outside an abortion clinic, those same leaders say he’s committing a felony?
