A couple who owns nine McDonalds franchise locations in middle Tennessee is sharing what Easter is really about. A local news personality, Burton S. Staggs, posted to Facebook a photo of one of them that has window art featuring an empty tomb, three empty crosses on a hill, and the words, “He is Risen” and “Happy Easter.”

Staggs wrote that at Christmas, Tony and Gina Wolfe’s McDonalds restaurants often feature the message, “His name is Jesus.”

Gina Wolfe commented on the post to share her gratitude for featuring the franchise. “Thank you! your picture and article has been shared and shown by many. This has been one of our favorite traditions we have done for many years and our communities have loved it. Thank you for sharing in our joy☦️ Happy Easter.”

One commenter said, “I’ve been to this McDonald’s and they’re really kind in there too…” She elaborated that she was passing through while moving from another state. “[T]he sign actually threw me because we don’t see that stuff in the North.”

“Thank you for sharing the real meaning of Easter,” another commenter said.

Through Wolfe Enterprises, the couple employs more than 400 people and has received numerous accolades β€” including the Ronald Award, which is given to the top 1 percent of owner/operators across the country who have made outstanding contributions to strengthening the McDonald’s brand image and serving their customers and local communities.

Celebrating Down Syndrome Awareness Day

In other good news, this Thursday was World Down Syndrome Day. The date, 3/21, correlates with the fact that Down syndrome is caused by having three copies, rather than two, of the 21st chromosome. This sweet video, featuring a girl singing to her little brother with Down syndrome, was shared across social media in honor of the day:
