Christian author and founder of IF: Gatherings Jennie Allen shared on Instagram and Facebook that Thursday evening at Florida State University, “hundreds of students came forward to trust Jesus.” Video from Allen’s posts shows hundreds of students gathered around the university’s Westcott Fountain.

In another post she wrote, “4,500 Florida State University (one of the biggest party schools in the nation) students confessed struggles and sin tonight. Hundreds came forward to trust Christ. And this is them singing and dancing as they head to spontaneous baptisms.” Niche.com lists FSU as the No. 2 party school in the nation.

Jennie posted a picture on her Instagram story of herself standing in a fountain with a young woman apparently preparing to be baptized, with the text:

Before we baptize anyone we walk through the gospel clearly and hear their motivation for doing this tonight.

“There was not just a miracle. There were hundreds and hundreds of miracles that happened tonight,” said Grace Dennig, a young woman involved in organizing the event. “I think we could have never anticipated any of that would happen.”

Hundreds of students were baptized at an event Allen spoke at in September at Auburn University. Both events were sponsored by Unite, a Christian ministry whose inaugural event was the one at Auburn and has since expanded to stadium events at other universities.
