Sunny Side of The Stream: College Football Player Gave Up Playing for the Team to Become Its Chaplain

“I knew it was by no coincidence that I was there, and I was there for a reason bigger than football,” Cam Lamanuzzi told a local ABC affiliate. The former Fresno State football player is now the team’s assistant chaplain.

He started hosting Bible studies with his team as a player. Eventually he knew it was time to leave football. He walked into his head coach’s office and told him that he had to follow his faith. His coach came up with the plan to make him assistant chaplain.

“A blessing to be such a recent part of the team too, because I have a friendship with a lot of the guys,” said Lamanuzzi told KFSN-TV. “I mean I still go to some of their houses. We still go and grab food. We hang out. We’re all in a good relationship.”

Along with being chaplain, Lamanuzzi works with a non-profit called Youth for Christ and preaches at a local church.

Here are Some Memes

Instead of a Twitter roundup, this week, here are some memes. They’re courtesy of my beloved house church members, who are avid meme sharers (as well as avid Gospel sharers).
