Sunny Side of The Stream: 4-y-o Texas Boy’s ‘Miracle’ Recovery Aided by Community and Cattle

By Aliya Kuykendall Published on July 30, 2022

Welcome to another sunny summer weekend at The Stream! Here’s a bright spot for you:

Kutter Shed, a four-year-old central Texas boy, is back to showing his mini heifer Ducky after a farm accident left his leg and small intestine seriously injured. He was unable to walk or eat solid foods. Doctors called the speed of his recovery “nothing short of a miracle.”

When Kutter’s spirits were low, hospital staff helped surprise him with his three mini heifers, Minnie, Little Foot and Ducky, in the hospital parking lot. His mother Amber said, “They’re more than just cattle to Kutter. Those are his babies.”

His livestock show community rallied to raise funds for him. One event brought in almost $20,000.

Thank God for Animals

Animals are an amazing gift from God. Here are some enjoyable animal videos:

These guys seem to be the kind of animal pals you’d expect to read about in a children’s book.

This mamma bear understands the struggles of parenting:

This cat seems stressed. It’s probably spent too much time on Twitter.

I can still remember encountering a feeder full of hummingbirds one summer day when I was a little girl on a family vacation. They’re amazing!
