Good Election News … and ‘How Dare You Question the Results?!’

By Mike Huckabee Published on November 15, 2020

To those looking for good news in the election returns: In California’s House District 39, Republican Young Kim has defeated incumbent Democrat Gil Cisneros, marking the 11th seat flipped from Democrat to Republican.

On Thursday night, New York Rep. Max Rose conceded to Republican challenger Nicole Malliotakis. And there might be more flips and GOP holds still to come as the long count continues.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi predicted a blue wave would increase the Democrats’ majority. Of course, all those losses haven’t stopped her from claiming they have a “mandate” to remake America into Venezuela. “Mandate” being a meaningless word that politicians invoke to justify doing whatever they want, no matter how closely they squeaked their way into office.

Ms Malliotakis is one of two new GOP members who are children of Cuban immigrants, while two others actually lived under socialism in Cuba and Ukraine. Two seats flipped to the GOP in Miami, and one of the winners explained that was thanks to Trump and to the Democrats’ romance with socialism, which is driving Florida increasingly Republican.

These four new Congress members all know only too well the false promises and tragic, oppressive reality of socialism. Mallitotakis tweeted, “An anti-socialist ‘Squad’ is forming.” Unlike the socialist “Squad,” this one will know what socialism really is. However, I don’t expect them to be fawned over by the media or end up on the cover of Vanity Fair, the way AOC is this month.

The idea of a magazine devoted to conspicuous capitalist luxury putting a socialist on its cover would be striking if it weren’t sadly all too common. Clueless rich liberals have been celebrating charismatic leftist radicals for decades, from the Hollywood fundraisers for Sandinista leader Daniel Ortega to all the T-shirts, posters and other art/merchandise romanticizing Che Guevara as if he were Jim Morrison in olive drab fatigues. If these people ever met the real Che, he would’ve put them in front of a firing squad, because that’s what he did … a lot.

Investigating Our 2020 Elections

Among the many, many….many…statistical anomalies of this election, here’s another one noticed by British pollster Patrick Basham. He points out that “Trump won the largest non-white vote share for a Republican presidential candidate in 60 years.” Yet he somehow fell behind Biden, who “underperformed Hillary Clinton in every major metro area around the country,” except for four: “Milwaukee, Detroit, Atlanta and Philadelphia.” Coincidentally, the exact four, Democrat-run metro areas in which he would need an overwhelming advantage to win those four vital battleground states.

Democrats and the media (but I repeat myself) have pulled a 180 and are now pushing the idea that to even question all the red flags waving in front of our faces like a May Day parade in Soviet-era Moscow is a shameful attempt to undermine democracy. You see, the suspected vote fraud isn’t what’s undermining democracy: us wanting to investigate it is. It’s eroding public faith in our electoral process, say the people who’ve been screaming for four years that the Russians rigged the 2016 election and Trump is an illegitimate President.

To show the damage that’s been wrought on the public’s trust in elections, a pollster on Newsmax TV asked a focus group of both Trump and Biden voters, if their candidate should lose, how many would think the election was stolen. All of them raised their hands.

No, if anything has caused a tragic erosion of faith in honest elections and harmed our cherished tradition of the peaceful transfer of power, it’s been the toxic politicization of everything by the left over the past four years, their fierce “Resistance” to accepting a free and fair election result in 2016, their attacks on the Electoral College, their endless partisan warfare and their transparent and ham-fisted chicanery this time around.

They always blame Trump for what they do themselves, and now, they’re blaming the loss of faith in a voting system run by big city Democrats on Trump because he pointed out the emperor’s nakedness. It’s like the way they called him a racist, sexist, con man and Nazi who was “literally Hitler,” and when he fired back, they blamed him for “lowering the tone of political discourse.”
