A few weeks ago, a friend of mine who is active in left-leaning political campaigns and causes told me if he ever went public about all the corruption he’d witnessed, it would have a devastating effect on the Democratic Party. That made me curious about the anti-fracking and anti-oil activists. While fracking has proven to be an economic boom for states like North Dakota, lowering gas prices all around the country, the activists are redoubling their efforts to get it banned.

Sure enough, I came across several investigative articles exposing the seediness behind the opposition. The environmental activist groups are getting significant funding from foreign interests — and get this — foreign oil interests as well as profits from oil investments! I’m not sure how transferring the production of oil from the U.S. to foreign dictatorships is “helping the environment,” do you?
