Post-election anti-Trump violence has been a dizzying frenzy of beatings, vandalism, arson, roadway obstruction, theft and threats. But now we’ve reached a new low:  A Texas mother terrorizing her young son, kicking him out of the house after he voted for Donald Trump at school. And the poor child doesn’t even really know who Donald Trump is.

Video of the heart-breaking incident, recorded by the mother herself, has been posted by TMZ. The TMZ article has been shared 37.5 thousand times as of writing. (WARNING: THE VIDEO CONTAINS FOUL LANGUAGE AND IS DISTURBING)

The mother is heard yelling at the crying boy, saying that since he voted for Donald Trump, he can “get [his] s*** and get out.” She also made a sign for the elementary-aged boy to hold saying “My Mom kicked me out because I voted for Donald Trump.”

The boy is seen crying hysterically as she makes him leave in the dark with a suitcase. As he stands on the sidewalk at the end of the driveway, she asks him why he voted for Donald Trump and he explains that he saw the president-elect on television a lot. “Well I hope you find another TV to see him on,  ’cause this is gonna be your new home,” she says. The boy starts crying again. “You can’t come back here,” she says.

He isn’t the only one traumatized. His younger brother, walking around as if confused, also cries hysterically, even more so when his mother says he can go be with his older brother, that “Donald Trump lover.”

The disturbing video had many calling for Child Protection Services to investigate. Indeed, KPRC-TV reports that the woman was interviewed by Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office and Child Protective Services. Fort Bend County Sheriff Troy Nehls said he was shocked by the video and that he has made sure that the child is now safe.

Late Monday afternoon, the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office posted an update on the case. The mother “claimed to detectives it was a joke. The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office does not see this as a joke and we are taking the matter seriously.” The investigation is continuing, with Sheriff Nehls insisting “that if we can find a criminal violation of law, I will personally arrest her myself.”
