Why Does God Allow the Coronavirus? A Conversation With Author Clay Jones

By The Stream Published on March 28, 2020

Why does God allow the coronavirus? It’s another version of the problem of evil. If God is powerful and all-good, and if evil exists, then why does God allow it? Does God exist? Does God care?

To help people process this problem, apologist Sean McDowell invited Clay Jones to join him for a Facebook Live video. Jones has thought about and studied the problem of evil for much of his life.

Clay Jones is a Doctor of Ministry, a professor at Biola University, board chairman at Ratio Christi, and author of “Why Does God Allow Evil?” Sean McDowell is a PhD, is a professor of Christian Apologetics at Biola University, the national spokesman for Summit Ministries, a best-selling author, popular speaker, and part-time high school teacher.
