MarketWatch and NYT Answer: What Would My Taxes Look Like Under the GOP’s New Bill?
Have you been wondering how the GOP’s new tax reform bill would affect you? If so, we’ve got good news! The folks over at MarketWatch released a tool Monday that gives users a ballpark estimate of what their FY 2018 taxes will look like after the tax cut becomes law. Though the tool isn’t exhaustive, it does allow you to add dependents and experiment with a few common itemized deductions.
If you’d rather see an estimate of how your taxes will change, then The New York Times has a calculator for you. The Times’ version shows you the average change in taxes based on criteria such as income, filing status, and number of dependents.
MarketWatch’s machine, embedded below, gives you an estimate of what you would pay in taxes for FY 2018.
