Trump’s Hollywood Star Vandalized; Just the Latest Violent Act Against Trump and His Supporters

But don't expect mainstream media to report most of the anti-Trump violence.

The man who admitted to smashing Donald Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame with a sledgehammer and pick-ax early Wednesday has been arrested. According to the Associated Press, Jamie Otis was charged with suspicion of felony vandalism. He was expected to be booked later Thursday.

Otis told Deadline Hollywood Wednesday that he was responsible for the vandalism and was able to inflict the damage dressed as a construction worker. A sledgehammer, pick and construction hat and vest were recovered near the scene.

Otis claimed that he wanted to remove the star completely and auction it off to raise funds for the 11 women who have claimed that Donald Trump sexually assaulted them. Trump denies the allegations and declared earlier this week that he would sue the women after the election.

Violence Directed at the Trump Campaign

The damage to Trump’s star is only the latest in the violence directed toward Trump and his supporters. In addition to the many lawn signs being removed or defaced, James O’Keefe’s recent undercover Project Veritas videos show Democratic operatives bragging about planting people at Trump rallies to incite violence — proudly claiming to target the mentally ill and the “naturally psychotic.” A riot instigated by those hired by the Clinton campaign injured several people in Chicago, including two police officers.

Many violent acts, including assault, have occurred over the past several months, reports Lifezette. Two Trump supporters were attacked and punched in a San Francisco bar simply for wearing Trump gear and expressing support for the candidate. Another Trump supporter was beaten in California in late September for wearing Trump’s signature ball cap. That assault was broadcast live via Periscope.

A woman on her way to a debate watch event in September was assaulted at Gustavus Adophus College for wearing Trump campaign clothing. Other Trump supporters have literally had to run from angry mobs, have been spit on, pushed, hit, punched, pummeled with food, had iPhones destroyed, and suffered broken bones.

Buildings and cars have been targeted as well as people. On October 15, the Republican Party headquarters in Orange County, North Carolina was firebombed and the building next door was spray-painted with a swastika and the threat, “Nazi Republicans get out of town or else.”

On October 15, 20 parked cars outside of a Trump rally in Bangor, Maine, were spray-painted. One Trump supporter, whose vehicle was targeted, told reporters, “Why can’t they do a peaceful protest instead of painting cars, all of this, to make their statement?”

Writing for Lifezette, Matthew Vadum predicts the violence will continue. “No doubt there will be plenty more such assaults in the final two weeks, as Americans head to the polls,” he says, “And Hillary Clinton’s campaign may be involved in those attacks.”
