By The Stream Published on October 12, 2018

Stream senior contributor Dr. Michael Brown has a provocative new book hitting shelves October 23. It’s called Donald Trump is Not My Savior: An Evangelical Leader Speaks His Mind About the Man He Supports as President. The book chronicles Dr. Brown’s journey from Never Trumper to supporter of the president, while staying mindful of who remains in charge of Dr. Brown’s life.

Dr. Brown sat down in The Stream studios with publisher James Robison for a series of brief discussions about the book, the president, the spiritual warfare in Washington and the critical mid-term elections. On Monday, Wednesday and Friday for the next two weeks we will be sharing these timely, intriguing conversations. Click here to watch the rest of the series.

Thank you brothers James and Michael. I already mailed in my vote – 100% Republican (although I started as a Democrat many decades ago). I DO stand with you both – in prayer and in hope all readers of The Stream will do likewise.

God bless both of you and thanks for the video. Just filled out my ballot and I noticed that I’ve never felt so motivated and purposeful in filling out a ballot. Hoping millions of others are having the same experience. Red wave!

  • Good to see Michael Brown come around on Trump. I hope a lot of people consider that Trump loves America and has kept all his promises to us and doesn’t appear to be thinking of stopping doing so. Aside from the vile opposition, the past 16 months have been a wonderland.
If God were to answer our prayers and have mercy on this nation, would the person He chose to lead the change look much different than Trump? Considering the adamant nature of the godless opposition, that leader would have to be fiercely independent, not caring what anyone thinks of him.
That’s exactly what we have. Pray for Trump, for his family’s safety and wellbeing and for wisdom, and get out and vote.

Not only was this interview a wonderful reminder regarding God’s plan for America using Mr. Trump’s God-given talents, and a posse of godly individuals, in addition it was a great reminder that, Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” for each of us in our own circumstances. While the greater plan is in His hands, we have a responsibility in the plan, as well. See John 15: 1-17. Abide in Him, have faith in Him, live for Him. Support God’s had-picked selection to right our ungodly republic and ourselves.

  • Justice Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, thanks Mr. President

I can’t vote since I’m Australian, but your vote, and Pres. Trump’s positive changes has definite follow on effects here. We fight the same political/cultural battles. Just think of it, your vote has global consequences.
