Tim Tebow Prays with Fan Having Seizure, Fan Recovers

The NFL star turned baseball player prayed for one fan in what some onlookers are calling a miracle.

Tim Tebow was signing autographs Tuesday after a baseball game with the Scottsdale Scorpions in Arizona when one fan had a seizure.

As 30-year-old Brandon Berry lay seemingly unconscious on the ground in near 100-degree heat, the former NFL star leaned over barrier between the field and the stands and began to pray, placing his hand on Berry’s leg. Another fan and his wife, Daniel and Samantha Kelly, also prayed for Berry, whom they met earlier that day.

Seconds later, Berry woke up.

“I just remember just being very disoriented,” Berry told The Associated Press. “Then I saw Tim.”

Daniel Kelly called the prayer an “amazing moment,” The Associated Press reported. “It was a miracle moment that happened there.” He posted a video on Twitter:

Kari Van Horn, a news reporter for ABC15 Arizona, also called the incident a miracle on Twitter:

After the prayer, Tebow stayed with Berry until paramedics took him away about 20 minutes later. Berry later told The Associated Press he was doing well after being released from the hospital.

As The Daily Caller News Foundation reported, it’s not the first time that Tebow, former NFL quarterback who joined the minor league Scottsdale Scorpions per a contract with the New York Mets, has gained media attention for praying for a stranger.

While flying from Atlanta to Phoenix in June, Tebow prayed for an unconscious elderly passenger whose heart had reportedly stopped beating. The man’s pulse returned after Tebow’s prayer.

Tebow is a Christian and former missionary kid who has been outspoken about his faith since his college football days at the University of Florida. He’s been known for sporting “John 3:16” on his eye black and praying — or “Tebowing” — after touchdowns.
