‘The Ultimate Answer is Christ’: Hope Women’s Center Helps Those in Crisis Pregnancies

By Nancy Flory Published on May 23, 2019

“Faith plays a huge part of our ‘why we do what we do,’” says Holly Snell, CEO of Hope Women’s Center. Snell recently sat down for an interview with The Stream’s Nancy Flory.

Hope Women’s Center in McKinney, Texas, is a pregnancy resource center. Not only do they counsel the women who are in crisis pregnancies, they provide pregnancy tests, ultrasounds and STD testing — all free of charge. If more services are needed, they connect the women to organizations that partner with Hope.

She says caring for the physical needs is only the start. “We do want to come around the [pregnant] girl and provide medical and educational services, but the emotional and spiritual support is a huge factor.” Once they experience the love of Christ, their lives will be forever transformed.

“We want to show great discernment when we’re talking with these girls and sensitivity to what they are walking through, but at the end of the day, we know that the ultimate answer is Christ.”

Snell asks for prayers for their organization. The Center is losing 50 percent of women who would walk through their doors due to advertising from out-of-town abortion clinics. “Our marketing in the past was very effective,” Snell explained. “They’re marketing and targeting our area because they know effective we’ve been.”

Still, even with the advertising, 78 percent of the women seen at Hope are choosing life. “We’re seeing an increase in those numbers and we’re so excited about it and thanking God for it.”
