The Dems Are Stealing House and Senate Seats. Will the GOP Fight? Could It Lose Control of the House?

By The Stream Published on November 14, 2024

We’re all still a little giddy after that bullet grazed America’s ear. Donald Trump won the presidential election decisively, though we’re not all really sure how. His victory doesn’t prove a thing about America’s election systems being safe, secure, or honest, because the same corrupted machines and corrupt officials still control the voting process in large parts of the country. And professional election thieves like attorney Marc Elias are trying to foist dubious ballots in races like the one for the Pennsylvania Senate seat which Robert Casey just lost.

So far, it seems that deeply questionable votes may have robbed the great MAGA advocate Kari Lake of a second office in a second election in Arizona — this time, a Senate seat. Will Republicans fight this time? With Trump plucking one Republican congressman after another out of the House to serve in his cabinet, including the great Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida, the margin of party control in that body is getting narrower. A Democrat-controlled House would leave Trump a crippled giant, as he was after 2018.
