The Brew: Why MAGA Is Getting Angry at Donald Trump and His Team
One of the deepest temptations we face recurs all through human history and is clearly inscribed in Scripture: getting angry with God. Cain resented Him for shrugging at his half-hearted sacrifice, then took out his rage on Abel. The Book of Job turns on Satan trying to goad that faithful believer to “curse God and die.” The Israelites grumbled in the desert at the God who’d set them free when they craved “the fleshpots of Egypt.”
And if I’m honest, I’ve struggled with this sin, too. Specifically, there’s part of me that’s angry I had to live through the past few years of our history, starting in 2020 with COVID, the George Floyd riots, the election fraud, the FBI’s crackdown on patriotic Americans, and the mass invasion of our country enabled by our own government.
Did I or millions of other ordinary Americans really deserve to helplessly suffer through all that? Did we really need to see all our institutions turn against us on a dime on the orders of soulless bureaucrats working with billion-dollar conglomerates and wicked globalist conspirators? Which institutions? you might ask. Here’s a far-from-exhaustive list:
- Our federal health authorities lied about COVID’s origins and tried to destroy the careers of experts doing honest research into the virus. Then they insisted on using abortion-derived materials to develop a radical experimental gene therapy, which they dumped on the public without safety testing and wielded all the force of law to force us to accept. To make all this seem legal (via an “emergency authorization”), those same authorities had to de facto ban safe, effective treatments such as ivermectin. They even cracked down on doctors suggesting we take extra Vitamin D.
- Our pharmacists and drug stores wouldn’t fill prescriptions for effective medicines written by our doctors (those few, courageous doctors who weren’t pumping the vaccine or deadly Remdesivir into our bodies).
- The churches that shut their doors and manipulated congregants by saying we would take an immoral vaccine if we really “loved our neighbors.”
- Our media almost unanimously (except for a few brave outliers like Steve Bannon’s War Room and Mike Lindell’s FrankTV) helped whip up George Floyd riots, pretend they were “mostly peaceful,” and insisted that they weren’t “superspreader events” because “racism is a threat to public health.”
- Governors in blue states shut down schools and thousands of businesses to “save lives,” but dumped COVID patients in nursing homes, which spiked the death rates in crucial swing states.
- Election officials used all those things together to justify approving massive, insecure mail-in balloting, since voting in person was just too dangerous. (But Antifa riots were safe.)
For a powerful perspective on just how deeply corrupted our institutions proved to be, listen to fearless truth-teller Naomi Wolf:
Naomi Wolf: ”The Pfizer documents contain evidence of the greatest crime against humanity in human history.”
Pfizer’s own documents reveal the unthinkable:
• One month after rollout, they knew the vaccines failed to stop COVID — and that COVID itself was the 3rd most common side… pic.twitter.com/BntvSvktgB

Listen to another courageous contrarian, Jeffrey Tucker, explain how our administrative masters discredited their own authority and inadvertently sowed the hope that we might dismantle their mechanisms of control:
From 2020 to 2023, with continued fallout today, the administrative state that had long ruled out of the public eye reached deep into the private affairs of every American. It closed the schools, churches, and businesses. It issued stay-at-home orders. It kidnapped family members…

It’s sinful not to be angry about all the above, plus the crackdown after January 6. Just don’t aim that anger at God. We ought to be simmering with incandescent rage at our own elites and the institutions they control, which lied to us, coerced us, and in thousands of cases killed us.
That righteous indignation, alongside the mass immigrant invasion, helped propel Donald Trump into office for a second term. We wanted the Deep State purged, the FBI officials who persecuted peaceful protestors fired and stripped of their pensions, the health bureaucrats who lied to us and made us sicker prosecuted for their crimes. And we wanted to learn the truth about the sex-trafficking operation Jeffrey Epstein ran, which apparently was linked to intelligence agencies. Almost none of this is happening, which is why so many Trump supporters are calling for Attorney General Pam Bondi’s resignation.
None of the issues I mentioned is a “distraction” or a crackpot “conspiracy theory.” No, these were obvious symptoms of a deep-seated disease that threatened to kill our body politic, to turn us from citizens into serfs. We campaigned, canvassed, donated, and prayed in 2024 — and through a series of miracles, we won.
Donald Trump should not interpret our zeal as a mindless, cult-like devotion to him as a human being. He stepped forward as our champion, and we trusted him. He needs to do more to keep that trust — and keep the God-given, holy anger we tend in our hearts aimed at his enemies, not at him.
Steve Deace has some ideas on how Trump can do that:
Since I keep saying if Trump truly feels the collateral damage with Epstein is too much to keep his transparency promise here he will have to offer another high value target for exposure to satiate his base, I feel obligated to then also make suggestions what that could be.…

Immigration Chaos Empowers Pedophiles and Sex Traffickers
I wrote a column two weeks ago on the reality of immigration crisis and its impact on the 300,000 children the Biden administration callously lost –some of whom were sent to sex traffickers. Now we’re seeing more evidence of just how profoundly evil our lawless borders are.
This illegal alien was apprehended at the CA marijuana facility. Turns out he had been sentenced to 7 yrs for kidnapping & attempted rape, w/ a prior conviction for attempted child molestation.
And this felon was working at the same farm as 10 kids – one being 14 yrs old. https://t.co/lfi55Zj7u1 pic.twitter.com/Eg34hXSelU

Never let your neighbors, fellow citizens, or pastors forget: Open- borders policy begets sweatshop marijuana farms, worked by children and the pedophiles who prey on them. Those who twist snippets of Scripture like “Welcome the stranger” to cover up such corruption are tempting you just as Satan tried to corrupt Our Lord in the desert.
Anniversary of First Trump Shooting Yields Scrutiny of Secret Service
Friend of The Stream Eric Metaxas reminds America of the excruciatingly close call all of us witnessed a year ago:
One year ago today the hand of God miraculously saved President Trump’s life “for such a time as this” & for GOD’S PURPOSES in history. President Trump knows this & is acting on it. PRAY FOR HIM TODAY! We are in a spiritual war against evil. But God is with us. GOD BLESS AMERICA! pic.twitter.com/ZCgGWTw56S

But millions are still wondering just what who was behind that near-miss, and who is to blame. The Guardian reports:
A new Senate committee report on the attempted assassination of Donald Trump at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, last year, described the events as a “cascade of preventable failures” and called for more severe disciplinary action to be taken with the Secret Service in the future.
In the 31-page, highly critical findings released on Sunday, the Senate homeland security and governmental affairs committee lamented the mishandling of communications around the rally and said Trump was denied extra security on the day.
“A 20-year-old gunman was able to evade detection by the country’s top protective agency for nearly 45 minutes,” the committee stated, adding that “not a single person has been fired.”
The publication of the report comes exactly a year after the attempted assassination of Trump, when he was wounded after a bullet grazed his ear on 13 July 2024.
Perhaps the president should appoint someone like Matt Gaetz as a special prosecutor to get to the bottom of this and the other murky attempt on his life in 2024.
