Good News: Mass Murdering Illegal Immigrant Has Been Caught

Francisco Oropesa, accused of executing five of his neighbors in Cleveland, Texas, including an 8-year-old, has been captured without incident. Oropesa is an illegal immigrant who was deported at least four times.

Biden Sending 1,500 Troops to the Border

Joe Biden has decided to send 1,500 troops to the border. The good news? This time our troops are going to our border. The bad news? They’re not actually going to stop the expected disastrous flood of illegals when Title 42 expires next week. The military says they are heading down to do administrative tasks, including “data entry” and “warehouse support.”

Does Honesty Count for Anything? WH Press Secretary Claims “Illegal Migration” Down 90% Thanks to Biden

Some 6.5 million illegal immigrants have crossed the border since Joe Biden took office. With the Biden-pushed end of Title 42, our southern border is gearing up for an invasion the likes of which our nation has never seen. Yet, on Monday, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre had the gumption to claim Biden has brought down illegal immigration by 90%.

We expect a little fudging from American politicians. It’s a Queens thing, but remember how with Trump everything was the “worst ever” or the “best ever.” But to claim a 90% drop in illegal migration is beyond exaggeration into the realm of wholesale fantasy. Or simply an absolutely blatant disregard for truth.

It gets better. Jean-Pierre was challenged Tuesday on her assertion. Her response is so far out in left field her heels are touching the warning track. After accusing Fox News’ Steve Doocy of “dramatics,” she insisted she had been referring to a particular parolee program. She would not allow a follow-up.

Secretary of State Tony Blinken Denies Being the “Impetus” for Hunter Biden Letter … Despite Sworn Testimony

What me? Secretary of State Tony Blinken denies he’s behind the infamous, arguably seditious letter signed by 51 high-level intel officials who falsely claimed the Hunter Biden laptop was Russian misinformation. Asked directly by Fox News’ Benjamin Hall, Blinken said, “regard to that letter, I didn’t — it wasn’t my idea, didn’t ask for it, didn’t solicit it. And I think the testimony that the former deputy director of the CIA, Mike Morrell, put forward confirms that.”

Well … Morell testified under oath that he was contacted by Blinken, which triggered the issuance of the public statement.

According to the transcript Morell testified:

Q: But, prior to [Secretary Blinken’s] call, you — you did not have any intent to write this statement?

A: I did not.

Q: Okay. So his call triggered —

A: It did, yes.

Q: — that intent in you?

Morell explained how the Biden campaign was eager to get the statement and get it out. According to the House report, “Morell further explained that one of his two goals in releasing the statement was to help then-Vice President Biden in the debate and to assist him in winning the election.” So a CIA official cops to interfering in the American election. Says it wouldn’t have happened without Blinken. How is that not a big deal?

It gets dirtier. The laptop shows a vast number of emails between Blinken and Hunter. And emails between Blinken’s wife and Hunter. But Blinken told his Senate confirmation hearingunder oath … that he had not had email contact with Hunter. As legal scholar Jonathan Hurley told Fox News,

That’s very serious. It is a crime to lie to Congress. He did this in the course of becoming a cabinet member. So you couldn’t have anything more serious than this allegation in terms of wrongdoing in the sense that it is a federal crime.

Senators Ron Johnson and Chuck Grassley sent a letter Monday to Blinken demanding he produce all communications between himself and Hunter Biden.

Speaking of Hunter Biden …

Hunter Biden Claims Poverty in Child Support Battle With His Child’s Mother

Call out the violins. Grab the hankies. Hunter Biden claims he’s broke, practically a hobo. Surrounded by the priciest lawyers in America, the First Son showed up in an Arkansas courtroom Monday in a bid to cut child support payments for his 4-year-old daughter Navy. Hunter, of course, banked millions upon millions from shady foreign entities while his father was in the Senate, VP and leading up to his bid for President. He’s also banking hundreds of thousands from his paintings. The judge demanded Hunter provide written answers to several detailed questions about his finances, including details about his art sales.

Hunter’s lawyers made a peculiar remark while trying to make Hunter out to be destitute. They claimed the First Son even had to “stay on a cot in his dad’s room” during their recent trip to Ireland. My initial thought. “Wait a sec. Joe was too cheap to spring for an extra room … even after Hunter gave the Big Guy 10% … and even 50% of his earnings?” But then I flashed to that image of Hunter hugging close to Joe’s side during the trip, stepping in to help explain an easily understood question from a child. And the image of Biden forgetting mere days later that he had been in Ireland. What’s more likely: That the Bidens didn’t have the scratch for an extra room or that Hunter needed to sleep on a cot in the same room as his father to keep an eye on him?

Hollywood Writers Go on Strike

Last night the late night TV shows were all reruns, the first casualties of the first Hollywood writer’s strike in 15 years. No writers, no show for NBC’s Tonight Show, Comedy Central’s Daily Show, ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live, CBS’s The Late Show and NBC’s Late Night. Funny. The late night show that beats them all to a pulp, Fox News’ Gutfeld!, aired as usual.

Yes, writers are striking over pay. (I know what some of you are thinking, “Why would anyone pay more for that garbage Hollywood produces?”) But the rationale is actually interesting. Streaming has made a mess of the old formulas for paying writers. They’re not making as much on the back end from residuals, so combined with inflation, they’re hurting. So they are asking for more money up front and updated pay formulas for streamed programs.

I wonder how long before one of the late night shows tries to write a monologue using Chat GPT?

Incidentally, the last writer’s strike, back in 2007-2008 lasted 100 days. It sparked the boom in reality shows as networks scrambled to fill programming gaps. In fact, according to the Hollywood Reporter, the last WGA strike was directly responsible for the creation of Celebrity Apprentice, which brought a whole new level of fame and fortune to a certain New York real estate mogul. Watching Donald Trump tell celebrities “You’re fired!” became one of the great guilty pleasures of the decade. I wonder what that guy is doing these days?
