The Brew: Wake Up, America, It’s Election Day!

Plus: Trump says he'll be making a "very big announcement" next Tuesday at Mar-a-Lago.

Election Day is here, and is greeting us with a Blood Moon.

When even celestial bodies are predicting a Red Wave …

Is that what’s on tap for today? Certainly we’ll see some drama. Will Republican Lee Zeldin take the New York governorship? Will the Democratic strategy of spending millions to pump MAGA candidates in Republican primaries backfire? Will Stacey Abrams actually accept defeat if Brian Kemp defeats her again? Will Dr. Oz become Senator Oz? Will Pennsylvania drag out the vote count until they can push Fetterman over the finish line?

Will Texas Latinos turn districts that haven’t been Republican in generations? Which celebrity will be the first to say they are moving to Canada if the GOP takes over Congress? Which cable pundit will be the first to blame the Russians? Or racism? Or the Blood Moon?

Will John Zmirak say something on our Election Night watch party on our Facebook page live tonight at 8 eastern to get us fired or deplatformed?

I hope you’ll join us to find out.

Donald Trump Did NOT Announce He’s Running. But He Did Announce He’ll Be Making a ‘Very Big Announcement’ About 2024 Next Tuesday

Reports swirled all day that Donald Trump was very seriously considering announcing another bid for the presidency at last night’s rally for J.D. Vance in Ohio. He kept viewers, supporters and the media waiting until near the very end. But rather than declare his candidacy, Trump said, “I’m going to be making a very big announcement on Tuesday, November 15, at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida.”

And it won’t be announcing a reboot of The Apprentice.

“We do not want to detract from the importance of tomorrow,” he added.

It was a good call to wait, if our unofficial Twitter poll is any indication.

So Tuesday at Mar-a-Lago it is.

Signs of Trouble

Joe Biden campaigned Monday in Maryland — reliably blue Maryland. I’m surprised they didn’t put him on a skipjack and sail him into the middle of the Chesapeake after his latest truth-telling.

At a campaign event Sunday, after spending 21 months insisting he wasn’t doing anything to harm oil production in the U.S., Biden addressed what appeared to be a climate protester. “No more drilling,” he said. “There is no more drilling. I haven’t formed any new drilling.”

This came just two days after declaring he was shutting down all the coal plants.

Jill Biden was in suburban Virginia, campaigning for a Congresswoman who won her seat in 2020 by 13 points.

Kamala Harris was campaigning in California. California.

Two ways to look at that. Democratic candidates are in more trouble out there than anyone knows. Or they don’t want Kamala anywhere she can do damage in a tight race.

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s Final Pitch: Calling Women ‘People With a Period’

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer is fighting for her political life against newcomer Tudor Dixon. She didn’t help her cause Monday by again referring to women as “people with a period.” That sentence had a period. Does that make it a woman?

Dixon responded on Twitter.

Michigan: Judge Orders School to Air Pro-Life Message After School Bans Message, But Allows Pro-Abortion Announcement

Michigan’s Proposal 3 is a radical abortion lover’s dream. Not only does it codify abortion to include late term and partial-birth abortions, it also takes dead aim at parental rights. At Skyline High School in Ann Arbor, students in favor of Proposal 3 were allowed to make a pitch for the killer proposal on the morning announcement. But Pro-Life students were banned. Well, the students sued. And won.

On Friday, Federal District Court Judge Paul D. Borman said the school sought to “silence the Plaintiff’s appropriate speech.” He directed the following announcement to be read by the Skyline Republican Club:

Attention Students

Are you interested in joining our efforts to protect the health of women and children?

If proposal 3 is passed it would eliminate health and safety regulations, legalize late term and partial birth abortion, no longer require physicians to perform abortions, and eliminate informed consent laws.

White House Press Secretary Denies Pro-Life Activists Are Being Arrested

Shameless. White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked about Donald Trump’s remark at a rally that pro-life activists are being “locked up” by the Biden Administration.

“Clearly that’s not true,” she said. “I’m not going to say more than that. It’s just not true, it’s false, it’s a lie, it’s not true. So I’m going to move on.”

Except it is very much true. Ask Paul Vaughn and 11 fellow protesters. Or Mark Houck. Houck was raided by a team of agents who dragged him out of the house in front of his kids. According to Lifenews, 26 pro-life activists have been rounded up and charged by Biden’s DOJ.

With all the pro-abortion-til-birth initiatives being voted on today, as in Michigan, it’s fair to say life is on the ballot. But so is honesty in government.

Funny: Yesterday: How Dare You Question Voting Machines! Today: Voting Equipment is at Real Risk From Hackers

You can’t make this up. For 21 months mainstream media said you were an election denier, a domestic terrorist and a “danger to Democracy” for saying election machines in 2020 were wide open for hacking and manipulation, and suggesting we should take a close look to see if any funny business happened. It was “The Cleanest Election in History!”

Well, here comes Politico — within hours of a predicted Red Wave Election Day — saying, “There are real risks that hackers could tunnel into voting equipment and other election infrastructure to try and undermine Tuesday’s vote.”

Elon Musk Suggests Independents Vote for GOP

Elon Musk is suggesting independent voters vote Republican today. In a tweet, he said “Shared power curbs the worst excesses of both parties, therefore I am recommending voting for a Republican Congress, given that the Presidency is Democratic.”

Pigs Spotted Flying Over Washington and Hollywood

Bovine are filling the skies. On Saturday, CNN fact-checked Joe Biden. On Monday, the Washington Post did the same, giving Biden a “Bottomless Pinocchio.”

At first we thought this herd of flying pigs was limited to Washington, but then a shock. Pigs are flying in Hollywood too! Yesterday, singer Katy Perry posted a selfie on Instagram of her voting. And it shows her voting for Rick Caruso for mayor over Democrat Karen Bass. Caruso is also running as a Democrat, but he was a longtime Republican. Said Perry, “I am voting for a myriad of reasons (see the news) but in particular because Los Angeles is a hot mess.”

That vote is already generating a lot of … um … “Fireworks” for the American Idol judge. I mean, you could hear the “Roar” of outrage from here.
