The Brew: Trump Has Stumbled But Not Fallen in His Fight Against the Entrenched, Evil Deep State
Did you think it was going to be easy? Had you convinced yourself that Donald Trump was 1) personally flawless, 2) politically omnipotent, and 3) surrounded by patriotic zealots instead of ambitious political fixers?
We didn’t elect a dictator. We didn’t watch Julius Caesar march his legion across the Rubicon and erase the corrupt Republic. (By the way, Caesar himself didn’t exactly face an easy time of it — he ended up assassinated by men he trusted, who then plunged Rome into a gory, protracted civil war.) We barely managed to outvote our own elites and overpower their corrupt voting machines — which did manage to steal countless down-ballot races, leaving the GOP margin in Congress razor thin.
The fits-and-starts successes, and periodic mistakes, of the Trump administration should be seen as what they are: a boxer in the ring, counter-punching, bobbing and weaving, but still taking blows to the body. We as a nation have bet literally everything on Rocky Balboa, but he’s getting pummeled hard by the steely-eyed Soviet challenger. (I’m thinking Rocky IV, folks; forgive me for being a Boomer.) And remember that the ref isn’t impartial, but sold out to the Reds, and that the Marquess of Queensbury Rules only apply to our guy. His opponent can hit below the belt and go unpenalized.
No, we shouldn’t shut up and “trust the plan.” Trump is under constant pressure from our unpatriotic elites, our corrupted institutions, and the mercenary minions of the GOP establishment who still think it’s their mission to maximize the quarterly profit estimates of Chamber of Commerce sponsors, whatever the cost to the country. So we must apply counterpressure. We must be a squeaky wheel, not a beaten-down dog in one of Anthony Fauci’s diabolical torture labs.
But we also shouldn’t panic. As Eric Metaxas keeps saying, God preserved Donald Trump from assassination in two televised miracles. If there is a “Plan” it’s His plan, not Trump’s or ours. And to move God’s plan along, we must strive to be worthy of it. We must pray for our leaders and fellow citizens while urging them to do better. That’s why I so often quote the great people at Intercessors for America.
It’s petitions before the Throne of God, offered by ordinary souls far distant from the halls of political power, that decide the fate of nations. That’s why presidents like George Washington and Abraham Lincoln called citizens to fasting and to prayer.
That said, there are certain things we cannot indulge in or accept, no matter the cost of refusal. And one thing no decent American will accept is “moving on” from the Jeffrey Epstein scandal. Was Epstein working for our own intelligence agencies, running a blackmail “honeypot”? Was he working for foreign intelligence agencies with the CIA’s collusion? Which of our elites were clients in Epstein’s rape conspiracy? Remember that Bill Clinton’s portrait hung in Epstein’s home.
I’m sure that President Trump’s motives are pure. He really must think the damage telling the truth would do to national security outweighs the potential benefit.
If he does think that, he is mistaken. We must know as a nation if our Deep State helped run a rape business in order to blackmail and control wealthy, powerful perverts. We cannot accept whatever “benefits” accrued to U.S. powerbrokers from winking at such corruption — any more than we should have been willing to accept a COVID “vaccine” produced by exploiting the remains of aborted babies.
Corrupt bargains like that one, all through Scripture and history, call down judgment upon the men and nations that make them:
“Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me;
but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened round his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.“Woe to the world for temptations to sin! For it is necessary that temptations come, but woe to the man by whom the temptation comes! (Matthew 18:5-7)
.@realDonaldTrump this is why I said the EPSTEIN AFFAIR is not going away anytime soon. Get ahead of this. We want to support every bit of your fight to save America, none more than me.

Trump does have an elegant, politically prudent way out of this nightmare. As The Hill reports (H/T Revolver News), MAGA gadfly Laura Loomer over the weekend called for
a special counsel to examine the handling of files related to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.
Loomer, who has bashed Attorney General Pam Bondi for her handling of the Epstein documents, told Politico’s Playbook newsletter that a special counsel should be appointed ‘so that people can feel like this issue is being investigated, and perhaps take it out of [Bondi’s] hands, because I don’t think that she has been transparent or done a good job handling this issue.’
Trump should appoint someone his base has reason to trust — rather than, I dunno, Bill Barr, whose dad hired Jeffrey Epstein to teach at an elite girls’ school in New York City. May I suggest my friend Sidney Powell instead?
Supreme Court Again Rules to Let Trump Be President
CNN reports on the latest win for the separation of powers and democratic governance via the U.S. Supreme Court:
The Supreme Court on Monday said President Donald Trump may proceed with his plan to carry out mass layoffs at the Department of Education in the latest win for the White House at the conservative high court.
In an unsigned order, the justices lifted for now a lower court ruling that had indefinitely paused Trump’s plan. The Supreme Court’s decision puts that ruling on hold while the legal challenge plays out.
Within two hours, the Department of Education sent notices to employees indicating it is immediately resuming its plans to shrink the department.
Since the Department of Education has overseen a precipitous decline in educational standards in the decades since President Jimmy Carter created it, plus the transformation of America’s schools into DEI-driven leftist indoctrination and even transgender grooming centers, this decision can only be good news for America’s children and its future.
Illegals Can’t Post Bail and Vanish Anymore
Through gritted teeth, reporters at The Washington Post announced that one of the worst loopholes for illegal aliens to escape just repatriation has been plugged:
The Trump administration has declared that immigrants who arrived in the United States illegally are no longer eligible for a bond hearing as they fight deportation proceedings in court…
In a July 8 memo, Todd M. Lyons, acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, told officers that such immigrants should be detained “for the duration of their removal proceedings,” which can take months or years. Lawyers say the policy will apply to millions of immigrants who crossed the U.S.-Mexico border over the past few decades, including under the Biden administration.
An Apostle Goes to His Reward
Congregants of his own church and the millions who benefited from his preaching and teaching are mourning the death of Rev. John MacArthur, who passed on July 14 at age 86. Read Jules Gomes’s powerful tribute to a pastor who fearlessly upheld biblical standards and stood against Caesar during the COVID panic, when most churches timidly closed.
That’s what faithfulness looks like. Want to see faithlessness, cravenness, and servility to Mammon? Look no further than Chip and Joanna Gaines:
Chip and Joanna Gaines produced a new reality show that prominently features a gay male couple with two children. Chip’s response to the Christians who’ve rightly criticized this decision is to, of course, condemn them as hateful bigots. It’s been clear for a long time that these… https://t.co/NTG0lR7dr4

Later this morning, join Life Today as Dr. Don Colbert explains how unforgiveness, pessimism, anxiety, and other negative emotions impact our overall health.
Is it right to negotiate with terrorists? If America won’t do that, should we expect Israel to? Amine Ayoub asks that later today.
