The Brew: Hunter Verdict Reaction, Court Rejects Appeal from Teen Who Wore T-Shirt Proclaiming ‘There Are Only Two Genders’

Happy Wednesday!

Today’s Brew is served with a slice of justice.

Jury and Joe Biden React to Hunter’s Conviction

Hunter Biden’s lawyers’ attempt to nullify the jury by having the First Lady and Hunter’s wife and other family members present throughout his gun trial failed. Hunter’s hometown jury didn’t buy anything the defense was selling, and found the president’s son guilty on all three felony charges. Three jurors who spoke to CNN said politics played no part in their deliberations. Another, who spoke to Fox News, said the same thing.

A family insider told ABC News’ Jonathan Karl that Hunter’s inner circle is “stunned, absolutely stunned” by the verdict. They expected an acquittal or hung jury. The justice system might currently be rigged for Democrats, but apparently it isn’t that rigged.

In a statement after the verdict, Joe and Jill Biden expressed love for their son and how proud they are of the man he is today. “I accept the outcome of the case and will continue to respect the judicial process as Hunter considers an appeal,” Biden said. “Jill and I will always be there for Hunter and the rest of our family.”

Well, except for Hunter’s love child. That kid’s on her own.

Hours after the verdict, Biden spoke at a gun safety event in Washington. (A good safety tip: If your crackhead lover has a gun, don’t throw the gun into a dumpster near a school.) Despite his son’s case having direct bearing on the topic at hand, and the only reason any media outlets covered his speech, Biden did not mention Hunter or the verdict. Afterward, the president took off for Wilmington instead of returning to the White House as originally planned.

The White House also cancelled the afternoon briefing. Funny that they had no problem talking about former President Donald Trump’s felony conviction as soon as that case wrapped, but when it’s one of their own? Mum’s the word.

Trump Reaction to Hunter Verdict

What did Donald Trump have to say about Hunter’s conviction? In a statement released by his campaign, Trump called the trial a “distraction” from the Biden family’s real crimes and that after the election, “never again will a Biden sell government access for personal profit.”

Reaction from Republicans echoed the same idea as Trump: Forget the gun charges, it’s the pay-to-play involving The Big Guy that matters.

Poll: 62% of Registered Voters Approve of Deporting All Illegal Immigrants

A new CBS News poll shows 62% of registered voters approve of deporting all illegal immigrants.

CBS’s Margaret Brennan seemed baffled by the number on Face the Nation.

“It doesn’t seem practical, in some sense, to round up children. And then we know that the courts have questioned whether local authorities would have the ability to do it. And federal authorities don’t have the resources. So what exactly do people think they’re supporting?”

Sometimes you have to explain things really slowly to these elites. “They support … deporting … all … illegal immigrants.”

See, Margaret, we may not be network elites like you, but we know what time it is. Just yesterday, news broke that eight Russian nationals from Tajikistan with ties to ISIS were rounded up in Los Angeles, New York, and Philadelphia. Tajikistanis carried out the ISIS-K attack on a Moscow concert hall that killed 145 people in March. The FBI has been warning of a similar attack taking place here — and yet the border remains open.

According to the New York Post, the terror suspects had been stopped at the border last year, but were released by the Biden administration. Their ties to ISIS emerged later.

Appeals Court Rules School Had Right to Ban Student for Wearing “There Are Only Two Genders” T-Shirt

A Massachusetts teen is likely headed to the Supreme Court — and not on a field trip. The First U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Tuesday that administrators at a Massachusetts public school had the right to ban Liam Morrison from wearing a T-shirt that said, “There are only two genders.” Morrison, backed by the Alliance Defending Freedom, sued, claiming the school violated his First Amendment rights. Morrison, who was 12 at the time, wore the shirt to protest his middle school being filled with pro-LGBTQ posters and Pride Month celebrations.

The case is likely headed to the U.S. Supreme Court.

You can learn more about the case from an Alliance Defending Freedom video done with young Liam.

Violence: LGBTQ Activists Assault Father and Son at Drag Queen Event

Chalk up another act of violence connected to the new LGBTQ activism. People attending a drag show for children in South Bend, Indiana attacked and smashed a passerby in the head with a large brass bell. The man required six stitches. One of the masked assailants also pounced on the man’s teen son when he tried to call 911.

The suspects were identified through photographs as Troy Moss and Tonna Robinson, members of an ANTIFA-connected organization called Northern India Atheists. They were hired as “security” for the event.
