The Brew: Drones Fly Over Trump Golf Club, Village People May Perform ‘YMCA’ at Inauguration
Happy Friday!
Today’s Brew starts in the skies over New Jersey.
Who Is Flying Large Drones Near Trump’s Bedminster Golf Club?
Since mid-November, large “car-sized” drones have been spotted flying near Donald Trump’s Bedminister Golf Club in central New Jersey. These are not hobbyist drones or random fly-bys. There have been hundreds of sightings across Morris and Somerset counties.
Why would someone fly military-sized drones near there? Trump’s a good golfer, but it’s not like anyone needs to spy on his swing. It’s worth noting that while Trump has been spending most of his transition season at Mar-a-Lago, in 2016, he switched his transition headquarters from Trump Tower to Bedminster after being warned that Obama’s FBI was spying on Trump Tower.
That same FBI is now — after weeks of the drone activity — getting involved in investigating the incidents. The FAA has imposed flight restrictions over the area including the Bedminster Club and the Picatinny Arsenal Military Base, which is also in the vicinity.
In October, news broke that for 17 straight days last year a drone fleet breached the airspace of the crucial Langley Air Force Base in Virginia. The drones would also hover over the base for SEAL Team Six and Navy Station Norfolk, the world’s largest naval port. The Pentagon said it could not determine whether this was the work of a hostile nation.
When asked why the military would allow drones to repeatedly threaten the security of U.S. military bases, the answer was that the Defense Department was concerned about shooting down drones over populated areas. Now we’ve got drones casing out a home of the incoming commander-in-chief.
Yet senators like Joni Ernst and Lindsay Graham are more worried about what Pete Hegseth may have done in the past?
Maybe it’s time for a @SecDef who has…
Led in combat. Been on patrol for days. Pulled a trigger. Heard bullets whiz by. Called in close air support. Led medevacs. Dodged IEDs.

Politico: Biden Considers Preemptive Pardons of Fauci, Schiff, and Liz Cheney
Fresh from pardoning his son Hunter to protect Biden Inc., Joe Biden is reportedly considering preemptive pardons for the likes of Dr. Anthony Fauci, Russia collusion-peddler Adam Schiff, and J6-conspiracy peddler Liz Cheney. Politico says the discussions are in response to Kash Patel, who’s just been nominated to become the next director of the FBI, urging investigations into political foes who made it clear over the last several years they would stop at nothing to “get Trump.”
How slimy would such pardons be for crimes that have not even been uncovered or investigated yet? Even Schiff thinks it’s a bad idea, telling Politico, “I would urge the president not to do that. I think it would seem defensive and unnecessary.”
While I don’t see anybody wasting energy investigating Schiff and Cheney, a full-blown criminal investigation into Fauci’s behavior during the COVID-19 pandemic is certainly warranted. Lying to Congress about gain-of-function research is only the start. How about abusing his power to thwart doctors and treatments that could have cost his Big Pharma benefactors billions? How about pulling COVID restrictions and mandates out of thin air, damaging the lives of millions of people, as a recent House subcommittee just confirmed in a report released this Monday?
Heck. Charge him with littering for all those “Thank You, Dr. Fauci” signs that polluted the liberal landscape.
A nice, orderly, lawful investigation certainly seems more Christian than Gov. Ron DeSantis’ suggestion two years ago: “Someone needs to grab that little elf and chuck him across the Potomac.”
GOVERNOR DESANTIS ON FAUCI: "Somebody needs to grab that little elf and chuck him across the Potomac!"
It's no wonder Biden may pardon him.

Oh, no. Santa needs all the elves he can get.
And New York police need the public’s help.
NYPD Releases Photos of Suspect in Execution of UnitedHealthcare CEO
The NYPD on Thursday released photos of the man they believe shot and killed UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson Wednesday morning on the streets of Manhattan.

Police do not believe Thompson’s murder was a random act. The killer waited for him to arrive at a Midtown hotel, where he was attending a conference, for several minutes. Also, ABC News first reported that Thompson’s assailant left markings on shell casings reading “deny,” “defend,” and “depose.” As Alex Berenson noted, these words echo a book called Delay Deny Defend exposing the way insurance companies refuse to pay claims.
As sick as this killing is, it’s made even sicker when people like former Washington Post journalist Taylor Lorenz basically celebrate it. “And people wonder why we want these executives dead,” she wrote on social media site Bluesy after Thompson’s death.
Male Wins Model of the Year
A biological male who identifies as female has been named “Model of the Year” at the British Fashion Awards. Alex Cosani beat out five women, including famed models Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell, for the award. Cosani is the first transgender person to win it.
As National Pulse reported, the award recognizes a model’s global impact over the past year, including editorial and advertising contributions.
An asteroid can have global impact. That doesn’t mean you give it an award.

No Way! Village People Founder Says Group Would “Seriously Consider” Performing “YMCA” at Inauguration
A couple of weeks back, in a fit of whimsy, I suggested that Trump supporters attempt to break the world dance record at the inauguration by doing the “Trump Dance” to “YMCA.”
Could it happen? With the Village People themselves performing the song live at the gala? Founder Victor Willis (the “cop” in the disco legends line-up) says the band would “seriously consider” performing in January.
Talk about a change of heart. For years, Willis protested Trump’s use of “YMCA” at rallies, not wanting his music politicized. But this year, Willis changed his tune, he told Fox News, because Trump “seems to genuinely like the song and so many other artists were stopping him from using their music.”
When asked if the Village People would be interested in performing at the inauguration, Willis admitted his first instinct was to say no, because “we would be concerned about an endorsement.” However, “because the president-elect has done so much for ‘Y.M.C.A.’ and brought so much joy to so many people, the song has actually gone back to No. 1, and it’s still No. 1 today, so if he were to ask the Village People to perform the song live for him, we’d have to seriously consider it.”
