The Brew: Did Zelensky’s Crass Blustering Save America from Future Stupid Wars? Let’s Buy That Man a New Piano!
Ukraine President Volodomyr Zelensky, wearing a suit for an audience of globalists at the World Economic Forum in Europe.
Have you watched the Press Conference from Hades, which saw a diplomatic deal collapse in real time on live TV and the president of Ukraine kicked out of the White House without any lunch? If you missed it in real time on Friday (or somehow missed any of the countless jaw-dropping replays since then), you ought to go watch the whole thing instead of just little clips selected by people who hate Donald Trump and J.D. Vance. This brouhaha is all that news-obsessed people are talking about right now.
Here’s my contrarian take:
The fix was in. Advisors who wanted to see the U.S. drawn in for decades with troops on Russia’s border — a much more provocative outcome than Ukraine joining NATO — had apparently sold President Trump. Appealing to his business brain, they convinced him that the U.S. could get reimbursed for the billions we incinerated under Joe Biden with (vague, speculative) promises of “rare earth” minerals that the U.S. would own and mine. So it would make sense to patrol those regions ourselves in order to protect our investment.
All that Ukraine’s president Volodmyr Zelensky had to do was blow some smoke up the leg of Donald Trump’s suit. He didn’t even have to wear a suit himself. He just needed not to provoke and attack Trump or Vance on television and sign the deal he’d already agreed to.
That would have been a recipe for disaster. It would have ensured that tensions between the U.S. and Russia continued for many decades, with the risk of World War III. It would have transformed a distant land dispute between two corrupt Slavic oligarchies with tragically shrinking populations into a DMZ standoff like the 38th Parallel in Korea. At best, U.S. and Russian troops would have stared each other down again as they did in Berlin during the Cold War. At worst, it would end with a civilization-ending nuclear exchange.
Remember that U.S. troops patrolling Saudi Arabia to protect that (wealthy, well-armed) country from Saddam Hussein ended up provoking the September 11, 2001 attacks — and the cascade of catastrophes which flowed from it, including the deaths of more than 600,000 civilians in Iraq, the ethnic cleansing of some 700,000 Christians, and thousands of American servicemen left dead or disabled, at the cost of some $3 trillion.
If Zelensky had minded his manners, far worse might well have happened, ending with a mushroom cloud over your hometown and mine. Go ahead and breathe a sigh of relief, and mutter a grateful prayer. God wrote straight with crooked people in the form of the U.S. foreign policy elite, which is so arrogant it won’t accept a victory unless it can also humiliate its enemies. It won’t even take a U.S. occupation of Ukraine that permanently provokes and enrages Russia if that means giving Donald Trump a political “win.”
Read the dogged Mollie Hemingway reporting on evidence that Zelenksy’s U.S. allies — the Democrats he came to the U.S. to campaign for in 2024 — coached him before the summit with Trump to ensure that it failed and harmed him politically:
Yesterday, Susan Rice said of the Trump-Zelensky meeting, “There is no question this was a set up.” She revealed full knowledge of the mineral agreement, complained that it didn’t include “concrete” security agrees (meaning, apparently, commitment of US troops on the ground if…

As if on cue — because it was on cue, a coordinated global campaign — foreign elites weighed in supporting Zelensky and denouncing America’s leaders:
In an extraordinary display of public support, heads of state, heads of government, and foreign ministers from all over Europe and Canada are posting in support of Ukraine in response to the Oval Office meeting with Trump, Zelenskyy, and Vance. pic.twitter.com/Om4V28hgo5

Still skeptical? Do you treasure the fond idea that pornographic comedian Zelenksy makes his own decisions without the Deep State managers who helped him come to power and used him to impeach Donald Trump? Watch this testimony documenting just how intimately our foreign policy pashas have been controlling Ukraine since at least 2014:
Here we have Victoria Nuland in 2016, openly testifying before Congress about just how deep the US was in running Ukraine’s government after the 2014 coup.
She laid it all out: US advisors embedded in 12 Ukrainian ministries, American-trained police in 18 cities, the US Treasury… pic.twitter.com/BPQ66UO0Lp— Richard (@ricwe123) February 28, 2025
I share Trump’s views of the Ukraine war. I believe that the West violated the agreement after the Cold War with NATO expansion way past the Iron Curtain. Of all the countries up for discussion as provocative Ukraine was always flagged as the most because of its location next to…

That whole house of cards might crumbling down now, as an outraged Trump realizes that he almost got played by his enemies — who are loyal not to America but to their fellow elitists overseas. God is kinder to us than we deserve. May He show special mercy on the poor suffering people of Ukraine and Russia, and end the futile conflict between them that the abortion- and child-castration fanatics then ruling our country helped to provoke.
Andrew Cuomo Running for Mayor of New York City
Apparently, disgraced ex- New York governor Andrew Cuomo has found out that some senior citizens in New York City escaped the Blue State Nursing Home Genocide and now wants to challenge embattled New York City Mayor Eric Adams for his job.
What’s the Blue State Nursing Home Genocide, you ask? That’s my term for what happened when Cuomo and other Democrat governors dump hundreds of COVID patients into elder care facilities — whose helpless residents died afterward of COVID by the thousands (about 15,000, according to a local NBC station in the Big Apple), deprived first of visits from family or clergy, then of Christian burial. Instead, they were incinerated as medical waste like aborted babies. Maybe if he’s elected, Cuomo can finish the job.

Of course, Cuomo protected his own mother, Matilda Cuomo, from infection, and bragged about that in his press conferences. That’s at least one vote he can count on.
He might not get many more women than that to vote for him. Cuomo was forced to resign last January amid a cloud of accusations (which he still denies) that he sexually harassed female employees. According to a Department of Justice investigation, Cuomo “repeatedly subjected these female employees to unwelcome, non-consensual sexual contact; ogling; unwelcome sexual comments; gender-based nicknames; comments on their physical appearances; and/or preferential treatment based on their physical appearances.”
“Brain Dead” Young Man Wakes Up Just Before His Organs Were to Be Harvested
Where there’s life, there’s hope. And maybe where there’s a market for harvested organs, there’s a dubious standard of death. Pro-lifers and medical ethicists have been casting doubt on the concept of “brain death” for decades — contending that it’s a useful fiction allowing transplant doctors to cut the organs out of patients whose hearts are still beating — because otherwise the organs are useless.
But recent research has shown that one quarter of unresponsive patients with severe brain injuries are actually still conscious (poor things). And the following report from Lifenews should unsettle us:
Trenton McKinley is a walking miracle.
Two months ago, the Mobile, Alabama teen suffered severe injuries when a small utility trailer that he was riding in flipped over, CBS News reports.
Initially, doctors thought his brain injuries were so severe that he would never regain consciousness, and his parents agreed to remove his life support and donate his organs, the report states.
But just before that happened, the 13-year-old showed signs of life.
Jennifer Reindl, Trenton’s mom, said she initially thought she lost her young son to the accident. She told Fox News that he showed no vital signs for a full 15 minutes. Eventually, she signed the papers to donate his organs, believing his life would help save other children’s.
“The next day he was scheduled to have his final brain wave test to call his time of death but his vitals spiked so they canceled the test,” Reindl said.
Now, Trenton is not only awake, but he also can walk, read and even do math problems again, his parents said.
Trenton still is suffering from pain and seizures from seven skull fractures, and he will need surgery again in the future, according to the report. But for now, he is at home receiving therapy and beginning to heal.
Speaking recently to the local news, the young man said he thinks he was in heaven for a little while after the accident.
“I was in an open field walking straight,” he told reporters. “There’s no other explanation but God.”
Split the Brain, the Mind Remains Intact — Which Points to an Immortal Soul
Speaking of brains and souls, neuroscientist and brain surgeon Dr. Michael Egnor is coauthor of the upcoming book The Immortal Mind, which surveys the evidence that our souls are much more than byproducts of the matter in our brains. One striking confirmation of the unity and independence of the human soul: the fact that patients whose right and left brains get disconnected (usually via surgery to treat brain disorders) still have a unified mind. That’s not what you’d expect if the mind/soul were merely the product of neurons shooting sparks inside brain cells. Egnor writes:
After split-brain surgery, patients wake up feeling completely unified, like just one person, despite the surgical disconnection of the two halves of their brain. A few patients have transient disorders like “alien hand syndrome” but this is rare. By and large, these people are normal in ordinary activities of life.
For more suggestive evidence that we are much more than the sum of our parts, preorder Egnor’s book.
