The Brew: Democrats Cave, Might Re-Open Government Even Without Free Sex Changes for Illegal Aliens
Man, you know the Democrats are demoralized when they are willing to back down on one of their core principles and governing values — such as transferring taxpayer money from citizens who scrimp and save to pay their insurance premiums to random foreigners who snuck across the border and get free healthcare, no questions asked, including abortions and sex change operations — all offered in the name of a pandemic that ended years ago. I mean, if the Democrat party can’t stand up for fundamental values like that, what is it even here for? AP reports:
The Senate took the first step to end the government shutdown on Sunday after a group of moderate Democrats agreed to proceed without a guaranteed extension of health care subsidies, angering many in their caucus who say Americans want them to continue the fight.
In a test vote that is the first in a series of required procedural maneuvers, the Senate voted 60-40 to move toward passing compromise legislation to fund the government and hold a later vote on extending Affordable Care Act tax credits that expire Jan. 1. Final passage could be several days away if Democrats object and delay the process.
The agreement does not guarantee the health care subsidies will be extended, as Democrats have demanded for almost six weeks. Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer of New York voted against moving ahead with the package, along with all but eight of his Democratic colleagues.
The agreement also includes a reversal of the mass firings of federal workers by the Trump administration since the shutdown began on Oct. 1 and would ensure that federal workers receive back pay.
If there’s one group of people less deserving than illegal aliens in this scenario, it’s entitled, unfireable federal workers.

This is what Pope Leo XIV and the U.S. Catholic bishops, and Christianity Today, and the “Third Way” churches that bash Donald Trump, want for our future. They claim that the Gospel demands this. Of course, if Christian faith required our mass surrender to Muslim invaders — or other suicidal policies such as universal celibacy — we might re-examine whether it was actually true, given how it clashed with the commands God gave us in the Old Testament.
But that’s Screwtape’s whole point in promoting woke Christianity: to convince us that the Gospel is a suicide note, so we toss it aside and embrace paganism, racialism, or other wicked worldviews. The Enemy wants you to think that Our Lord demands chaos and evil:

Hispanic Gang Issues “Shoot to Kill” Orders on ICE Agents
When the legitimate authorities of a democratic state abandon the enforcement of just laws, the result isn’t permanent anarchy. That’s just a very brief phase, en route to a new and horrifying tyranny — as hapless citizens of Germany learned when they found their government slide from Weimar chaos to Nazi dictatorship after 1933. If our elites, churches, and judges strip the president of the power to control our national borders and deport invaders, there won’t be a permanent power vaccuum, but rather a short respite until a new set of powerbrokers step in to impose order.
In Chicago, Illinois, where the local authorities have told police to obstruct ICE agents enforcing federal law, a new force has stepped up to exercise its authority: the Hispanic gang called the Latin Kings. Gateway Pundit reports:
Leadership of the Latin Kings, one of the largest Hispanic street gangs in the world, has authorized a “shoot on sight” directive toward federal agents, mainly Border Patrol Agents, involved in Chicago’s “Operation Midway Blitz.”

According to NewsNation Correspondent Ali Bradley, the Latin Kings are now targeting Border Patrol Agents.
