Sarah Palin Thanks Public for Their Prayers, Offers Update on Husband Todd’s Condition

“Thank you for lifting Todd up in prayer,” Sarah Palin said in a lengthy Facebook post Thursday detailing her husband’s condition after a snowmobile accident Monday night left the champion racer seriously injured.

The former Alaskan governor says the former “First Dude” is still in ICU after a lengthy surgery to “repair numerous breaks in Todd’s upper body, docs essentially lifted and secured every rib with steel bands, anchored the broken clavicle with plates and rods, set aside repair of a broken shoulder for later.”

“Requiring a bit more than our usual fix-all up here — Duct tape — some gnarly incisions to enter his innards will be reminders of how life can change in the blink of an eye.”

Sarah Palin had been campaigning in Florida for Donald Trump when news came of her husband’s accident. After attending one event, Palin flew back to Alaska.

“Your care for Todd is more appreciated than I can express,” she concluded her Facebook post, “Thank you, And thank you to the still-mysterious snowmachiner(s) who came upon the wreck and provided critical help that night. I hope to meet you soon!”

And on this St. Patrick’s day, Palin included in her post a photo of daughters Willow and Piper, along with an Irish proverb: “A good laugh and a long sleep are the two best cures for anything.”
