Rabbis to President Trump: ‘You are Fulfilling Biblical Prophecies’

By Nancy Flory Published on December 15, 2017

In recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, President Donald Trump “recognize[d] reality,” Michael Brown said on his radio show last week. Speaking on The Line of Fire, he called it “the right thing to do for a host of reasons.” One is that Israeli control ensures each major religion, including Christianity and Islam, has access to their sacred sites.

250 Israeli rabbis told President Trump that he was fulfilling biblical prophecies, Brown reported. Chief Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu told him “You have the rare privilege to be the first President to recognize Jerusalem as the eternal capital of the state of Israel. We’re confident that you’ll be remembered in the history of the Jewish people forever.”
