Authorities in Northern California said Wednesday they have arrested three teenage boys involved in violent attacks against Donald Trump supporters after a political rally last week in San Jose. This is in addition to the four men arrested the day of the rally: Ahmed Abdirahman, 19, Robert Trillo, 18, Michael Kitaigorodsky, 19, and Antonio Fernandez, 19.

Fernandez’s arrest report reveals the protesters targeted those wearing American flags. According to The Daily Caller News Foundation, an officer wrote in the report, “I also observed anyone wearing the American Flag were being confronted in an aggressive manner. It was my belief the protesters associated the American Flag as a Trump-supporter.”

Many protesters burned the American flag, according to the arrest report, while many in the crowd proudly flew Mexican flags.

Officers also observed how “protesters armed themselves with eggs, bottles, rocks, and newspapers and threw items at Trump supporters.”

Of the arrests announced today, one of the juvenile suspects was arrested for felony assault with a deadly weapon after he was recorded on video using a blunt object to strike a man who is then seen bleeding from the head, the San Jose Police Department said. Police arrested two more suspects who were caught on video physically assaulting a man, chasing him and tackling him to the ground. One was arrested for felony assault with a deadly weapon and the other for misdemeanor battery.

The suspect’s names were not released because they were minors.

The department said it expects to make more arrests and released two photos of a man who they is responsible for an assault.

The arrests come after mounting criticism of the city of San Jose and its police department for what some say was a tepid and tardy response to attacks on Trump supporters after a June 2 political rally.
