Presidents in Peril: IRS Whisteblower Courageously Brings the Receipts, Biden Brings the Heat to Reporter Asking About It
It’s been a busy 48 on the “Presidents in Peril” beat.
Biden Denies Being in the Room
Joe Biden was asked directly Wednesday about whether he was really sitting with his son Hunter when Hunter pressured a Chinese business leader “with my father by my side” to fork over dough or else.
“No!” he barked.
REPORTER: "How involved were you in your son’s Chinese shake-down text message? Were you sitting there? Were you involved?"
BIDEN: “No, I wasn’t.”

Biden’s statement … or recollection of facts … would have more credibility, if he didn’t also insist Putin was “clearly losing the war in Iraq.”

Biden’s denial came as another of Hunter’s WhatsApp messages came to light. In this one, Hunter goes all Sonny Corleone on Gongwen Dong of the Communist China energy company CEFC, demanding a cool $10 million, declaring “The Biden’s [sic] are the best I know at doing exactly what the Chairman wants from this [partnership].”
Magically, the next day, $100,000 from CEFC pops up in a Hunter company’s coffers.
Doc on Leaked Tape Isn’t Part of the Trump Indictment
The First Law of Snake News is “Any story that has the media hyperventilating about Trump will be proven false … usually within 24 hours.”
On Tuesday, the media was all over an audio tape of Trump leaked to CNN. It’s the tape of Trump apparently discussing classified documents and supposedly showing people a still-classified document of military plans to invade Iran. This is the “smoking gun” that’ll bury Trump, MSNBC celebrated. The proof the prosecutors need to make their case in court. Just the thing, National Review writes, that shows “why he had to be stopped.”
Yet here’s a strange thing. CBS News reported Tuesday night the Iran doc isn’t part of the indictment.
The Defense Department memo on Iran — at the heart of the now-public audio recording that captured a July 2021 meeting with former President Donald Trump — is not part of the 31 counts of willful retention of national defense information charged in special counsel Jack Smith’s indictment of the former president, a source familiar with the matter confirmed to CBS News.
This would fit with what Trump and the aide who recorded the conversation say: He never actually showed anybody the Iran documents.
Divert, Distract, Deny
So why did the DOJ leak the tape about something that isn’t part of the case? Of course poisoning the voting public … uh, I mean, the jury pool … is part of it. A little bit of theater to evoke the Nixon Watergate tapes. But funny how the big, noisy Trump tape distracts from the Biden Bribery scandal. The shocking revelation of the WhatsUp App shakedown message from Hunter with “my father at my side.” IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley stating publicly that investigators were blocked from pursuing leads into “dad” or “the Big Guy.” On and on.
By the way, kudos to CBS News for reporting straight on this and on the Iran tape.
And a boo to NBC News. Happened to be watching NBC News Daily Tuesday afternoon. Long coverage of the Trump tape. Biden scandal? Not a word. Apparently, the fact that somebody is dumping dirty diapers on New Jersey roads is a bigger story than the former VP and current president selling his office to the highest bidder and the DOJ and Attorney General Merrick Garland working overtime to cover it up.
Garland Needs to Talk
As CBS News reported, Shapley has the receipts when it comes to U.S. Attorney David Weiss’ inability to charge Hunter as he saw fit. Garland insisted under oath Weiss had all the authority he needed. But Shapley wrote a detailed memo directly after meeting with Weiss and several others laying out how Weiss told the group he did not have the authority.

Shapley was on Fox News Special Report last night laying out details of the Hunter investigation, how the IRS determined he pocketed about $8.3 million from China’s CECP, Ukraine and Romania between 2014 and 2019. And how the DOJ thwarted investigators from pursuing leads pointing anywhere near The Big Guy.
BREAKING: IRS Whistleblower says the total amount of money that Hunter Biden received from overseas business deals came to $8.3 million between 2014 and 2019 but they were not allowed to ask questions about the involvement of “The Big Guy”, Joe Biden

Hunter’s storage shed? Off limits. Barron Trump’s closets? Go for it!
What tremendous courage it’s taken for Shapley to go public.
“No one f***s with a Biden,” Joe Biden famously uttered last year and he’s proven that with a vengeance.
Just look at the FBI whistleblowers, anyone questioning the 2020 election, pro-life activists and concerned parents. Heck, he’s arrested his main political opponent. Raided his home with an army of armed Feds.
So for a career guy with a top job at the IRS to come forward with damning evidence that could topple the 50-year Biden Inc. enterprise, could bring down the Biden presidency, push the progressives out of power, and blow up the DOJ, that takes an enormous amount of guts.
Why do it?
“I felt like I had to,” Shapely said. To quote, Die Hard‘s John McCain from Life Free or Die, “That’s what makes you ‘that guy.'”
Thank God for men and women like Gary Shapley willing to be “that guy.”
