Please Help Find Michaela Nelson!

By Tom Gilson Published on November 19, 2021

The Stream is asking your help in locating Michaela Nelson, a 26-year-old member of the Ohio Army National Guard who’s been missing since October 1. Her car is also missing. There is no evidence of foul play.

I have been told (unconfirmed at this point) that the National Guard has made assurances they will waive all disciplinary action when she returns.

These stories are always hard to hear, but sometimes the situation is even more crushing. The last time Michaela’s dad, Lance Nelson, saw her was at his wife’s funeral in September.

Sometimes it hits close to home, too: His wife, Jacque, was one of my own wife’s close friends until Jacque’s death from cancer.

Lance and Jacque had been missionaries with Cru for decades. He’s going through a lot, obviously, but he’s also holding on to his faith in God, and calling out for prayer support. Please pray for him and for Michaela’s four siblings, and especially for Michaela’s safe and quick return. Be on the lookout for her and her grey Dodge Charger, please.

The video is from a WDTN Dayton news report. Thank you for your prayers.
