Planned Parenthood Suing State Over Law Requiring Annual Inspections, Twitter Reacts
Planned Parenthood is suing Indiana over a new law that will require the annual inspection of abortion clinics.
The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) brought the lawsuit on behalf of the abortion giant, reported The Associated Press. The suit claims that requiring Planned Parenthood to be subject to annual inspections of their facilities is unconstitutional. Planned Parenthood is asking the court to block the requirement, which will take effect on July 1.
The lawsuit also targets a provision requiring abortion providers furnish an annual report to the Indiana Department of Health detailing all “abortion complications” that arose during the year.
Some Twitter users quickly questioned Planned Parenthood’s “commitment to safety.”

If they're really all about women's health and providing "safe" procedures, then why in the world can't they stand for a health and safety inspection? https://t.co/3zddoYgarX

National radio show host and pro-life proponent Dana Loesch tweeted, “You’re a federally-funded entity. You get half a billion in taxpayer dollars annually. If you claim you’re a medical provider then you are held to the same standards as other medical providers.”

Others wondered if Planned Parenthood is hiding something.
Almost as if they have something to hide. https://t.co/Vl3Q4J5UjL

Why? Wouldn't you *want* to make sure these clinics were providing safe practices? https://t.co/9jrijyOeGU
