No, Not A Brew: Musk Buys Into Twitter, Already Pushing for Changes

Shh… don’t tell anyone I’m writing this. I’m supposed to be on vacation. But who could resist?

Elon Musk Now Has Biggest Stake in Twitter?

Just weeks after teasing a new social media site to take on Twitter, turns out Elon Musk has pulled a fast one. He’s purchased a 9.2% stake in Twitter, making him the social media giant’s biggest shareholder. Musk had asked his 80 million Twitter followers if they thought Twitter adhered to the principles of free speech, which he said is “essential to the functioning of democracy.” The answer was a resounding no.

Immediately upon news of Musk’s Twitter move, calls began for Musk to pressure Twitter to reinstate Donald Trump. As part of its massive crackdown on conservatives Twitter infamously banned the President of the United States.

Indeed, Dan Ives of Wedbush Securities informed clients the expectation is that Musk’s initial purchase is “just the start of broader conversations with the Twitter board/management that could ultimately lead to an active stake and a potential more aggressive ownership role of Twitter.”

The hope? Musk is able to stop the partisan BS that led to Twitter helping throw the election to Joe Biden, and resulted in the censorship of hundreds of thousands of voices on Twitter.

Hey, Elon. I want my Twitter account back too!!!!

Musk is hinting at other changes. He tweeted “Do you want an edit button?”

Twitter has been historically and annoyingly adverse to having an edit feature. Banning patriots, yes. Allowing people to fix typos and errors? The horror!

Heroic Gym Owner Defeats New Jersey. Will a Congressional Victory Be Next?

Remember Ian Smith? He’s the New Jersey gym owner with the amazing beard who lost his business license when he refused to comply with the state’s draconian COVID restrictions. Closing gyms when staying fit was a key to avoiding serious COVID consequences? Dumb even on the face of it.

Smith’s now running for Congress. And he’s already won a big personal victory.

New Jersey’s restored Smith’s license for his Atilis Gym. Said Smith on Twitter:

“They told us we’d never make it. They wished we would fail or quit. They wanted us to surrender. But two years later they realized we don’t kneel to tyrants. @TheAtilisGym business license has been restored.”

A hearty “Hurrah!” to Smith for fighting the fight … and prevailing. Next stop, Capitol Hill!

Barack Obama Returns to the White House for First Time Since Leaving Office

Barack Obama is returning to the White House Tuesday for the first time since departing office in 2017. No, he’s not there to assess the damage done by his VP and other former underlings. He’ll be there to “deliver remarks celebrating the success of the Affordable Care Act and Medicaid in extending affordable health insurance to millions of Americans.” In other words, Obamacare.

In other words, he’s only showing up to celebrate himself.

Harris Loses Another Top Staffer

Harris has run off another one. Her Deputy Chief of Staff Michael Fuchs is fleeing the White House. Fuchs makes at least six top level staffers (and countless underlings) who have quit, rather than continue working for Harris.  She’s going through staffers like Hunter goes through cheap hookers.

Another reason you don’t hear much about the 25th Amendment despite Joe’s increasing incapacity. You can’t have a Presidential Administration if nobody can stand to work with the President.

Secret Service Dropping $30K a Month on Malibu Mansion Near Hunter’s Luxury Crib

The faux art business and consulting for the Big Guy’s foreign interests must be paying well. Hunter Biden’s living large in Malibu in a $20,000 a month mansion paradise. (At least someone’s benefiting from the Biden economy.)

The problem for us taxpayers is Hunter’s under Secret Service protection, and the Secret Service is reportedly spending $30,000 a month to rent the mansion next door. A “swanky” mansion, according to ABC News with “gorgeous ocean views.”

With six bedrooms, six bathrooms, a gym, a tasting room, a built-in barbecue, a pool, a spa, and a spiral staircase that leads up to a “castle-like tower to the master retreat with wet bar,” the luxury mansion boasts “resort style living at its finest” and is “a perfect retreat for discerning clientele,” according to its listing.

All while we’re having trouble filling a gas tank.

Then again, after following Biden through crack houses and dens of ill repute on three continents, perhaps Hunter’s agents deserve a little R&R.

We all do …
