Making a Living and Creating Beauty With Rane Wade

By The Stream Published on January 11, 2017

This week’s UpNext podcast with Gabrielle (and if you haven’t subscribed yet, what are you waiting for?) highlights a young artist who is hustling to make a living doing what she loves: designing and making the sort of clothes that she and her friends want to wear. What started as a response to people at a worship conference admiring (and desiring!) the shirt Rane Wade had sewn for herself turned into a profitable business — but it wasn’t easy.

Gabrielle and Rane both understand what it’s like to be young entrepreneurs with the pressure of running your own business and staying inspired while being organized. They also both understand what it’s like to rely on God and trust Him when it comes to pushing through the hard times. Their conversation is a great listen for anyone who’s trying to hustle their way into the work they love — and anyone who loves beautiful fashion design!
