Landmark Study Links Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disorders in Children to Vaccination
Research vindicates Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who faced robust questioning from senators at confirmation hearings
Vaccinated children are 170% more likely to suffer from autism and have a 212% higher risk of developing neurodevelopmental disorders, as well as bacterial infections and allergies, according to a groundbreaking peer-reviewed study.
Published in the Science, Public Health Policy and the Law journal on January 23, the study analyzed the data of 47,155 children in the Florida’s Medicaid program from birth to age 9 and concluded that increasing numbers of vaccinations are associated with an increased risk of autism.
The landmark study decisively debunks the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), which under the Biden administration categorically insisted that, “to date, the studies continue to show that vaccines are not associated with ASD” (Autism Spectrum Disorder).
The CDC, a key promotor of the mRNA COVID-19 experimental vaccine, admitted that “ASD among 8-year-olds has increased most years” since it began tracking it in 2000, and maintained that “vaccines are a safe and important way to prevent life-threatening diseases” in most children.
Vindicating Kennedy
The study also vindicates the claims of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., an environmental and health lawyer who has been chosen by President Donald Trump to lead the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Kennedy is widely mocked by the legacy media as a “conspiracy theorist” who “holds fringe views on vaccines” because of his repeated warnings linking vaccination to autism in children.
Democrat and some Republicans senators questioned Kennedy rigorously about his views on vaccines at his confirmation hearings last week. Social media has been abuzz with how Big Pharma is lobbying senators to block his appointment. After his second hearing last Thursday, even some Republicans seemed to be on the fence about his nomination.
Kennedy used the study, titled “Vaccination and Neurodevelopmental Disorders: A Study of Nine-Year-Old Children Enrolled in Medicaid” to substantiate his claims. The advocacy organization he founded, the Children’s Health Defense (CHD), posted a summary of the peer-reviewed paper on its website in which epidemiologist Nicolas Hulscher explains how the findings of this study “completely dismantle” the narrative of “the vaccine propaganda campaigns operated by our regulatory agencies, pharmaceutical companies, and legacy media [which] continue to claim that the link between vaccines and autism has been ‘debunked.’”
Autism Epidemic
The prevalence of autism is currently estimated to be 1 in 36 children, or 2.8%, according to the CDC’s Autism and Developmental Disabilities Monitoring (ADDM) Network.
“The government has had this data for decades, professing safety while simultaneously refusing to study safety. The facade of U.S. government public health is crumbling, revealing a culprit in chronic disease in this country: willful ignorance,” Dr. Karl Jablonowski, senior research scientist and expert in biomedical and health informatics, wrote in the CDH summary.
“The sheer hazards associated with severe childhood diseases is jaw-dropping,” he added.
While vaccinations required for children have increased threefold since the 1950s and include multiple doses of 17 vaccines given from birth to age 18, neurodevelopmental disorders (NDD) and autism have dramatically increased, the study’s authors Anthony R. Mawson and Binu Jacob wrote.
Rates of NDD — including attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), hyperkinetic syndrome, epilepsy or seizures, learning disorders, encephalopathy (brain inflammation), and tic disorders — increased more than tenfold during the 1980s, and one in six U.S. children was diagnosed with a developmental disability between 2009 and 2017.
In 2018, 17.8% of U.S. children were diagnosed with NDDs, according to peer-reviewed research cited by Mawson and Jacob. A 2022 study in the Journal of the American Medical Association Psychiatry based on two million publicly insured children enrolled at birth reported that by age eight, nearly 24% had been diagnosed with one or more NDDs.
More Vaccines, More Illness
Mawson and Jacob also found that the risk of autism increased according to the number of healthcare visits that included vaccinations.
Children with one vaccination visit were 1.7 times more likely to have been diagnosed with autism than the unvaccinated, while those with 11 or more visits were 4.4 times (340%) more likely to have been diagnosed with ASD than the unvaccinated.
Children with 11 or more vaccinations were 340% more likely to contract autism than their unvaccinated counterparts and 89% more likely to suffer from autism than children with one vaccination.
Vaccinated children born preterm were 258% more likely to be diagnosed with at least one neurodevelopmental disorder, compared to children born preterm who remained unvaccinated.
Vaccinated children also were 419% more likely to be diagnosed with encephalopathy, 525% more likely to develop tic disorders, and 581% more likely to have a learning disability compared to unvaccinated children. Children born preterm who were vaccinated had a higher risk of encephalopathy by 612% and learning disabilities by 884%, respectively.
The study follows closely on a peer-reviewed paper published January 6 in the Journal of the American Medical Association Pediatrics, which found that vaccinated preterm infants had a 170% higher incidence of apnea (temporary cessation of breathing) within 48 hours of receiving their routine two-month vaccinations compared to unvaccinated babies.
Government Cover-up
In a hit piece attacking Kennedy hours before his confirmation hearings could begin, The New York Times attacked the campaigner as “contrarian” and argued that “most of the increase in autism diagnoses is on the milder end of the spectrum, in part because the diagnostic criteria have widened.”
The leftwing newspaper insisted that all vaccines must meet strict requirements for safety before approval, and federal officials were monitoring reports of side effects in multiple systems that analyze medical records and reports from patients and doctors even after their approval.
“There is emerging scientific evidence that vaccination may be causing more widespread harm than is generally recognized by the medical community,” conclude Louise Kuo Habakus and Dr. Mary Holland in the book Vaccine Epidemic: How Corporate Greed, Biased Science, and Coercive Government Threaten Our Human Rights, Our Health, and Our Children.
While a “growing body of peer-reviewed science that suggests previously unrecognized vaccine risks and injuries,” they write, “the government’s failure to fund the basic scientific studies of these medical products while simultaneously recommending or mandating them raises profound ethical questions.”
