Stream Contributor Ken Blackwell Appointed to Lead Trump’s Domestic Transition
President-elect Donald Trump has selected longtime Republican politician and activist and Stream contributor Ken Blackwell to lead his domestic issues transition effort.
Blackwell, an Ohio native, has served the Buckeye state as mayor of Cincinnati, state treasurer and most recently secretary of state. He was also the first African-American to run as a major party candidate in the state’s 2006 race for governor.
Nationally, Blackwell has served as an undersecretary at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and as U.S. Ambassador to the United States Human Rights Commission.
Currently Blackwell is a Senior Fellow for Family Empowerment at the Family Research Council and a Senior Fellow at the American Civil Rights Union, and serves on the board of the National Rifle Association, the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty, and multiple other organizations.
Throughout the election, Blackwell was a vocal opponent of Clinton on The Stream and elsewhere. He is a bestselling author of three books, including the most recent, Resurgent: How Constitutional Conservatism Can Save America, co-authored with Washington, D.C. attorney and Breitbart journalist Ken Klukowski.
